Proactive Print Edge Alert System, Hp Inc Feb 2026

Proactive Print Edge Alert System, Hp Inc

Defensive Publications Series

In large-format printers, it is common practice to begin printing without engaging the Take-up reel to minimize material waste, known as print from the leading edge.

However, this approach introduces a significant risk: as the printed substrate advances, it eventually touches the floor. Contact with the floor can lead to media lifting into the print zone, causing severe carriage crashes and operational downtime.

To mitigate this risk, the invention proposes an automated alert system that notifies the operator when the substrate’s edge is approaching the floor. The system combines an audible signal (beep), a visual indicator (specific beacon color or …

Frequency-Traceability-Aware Timetransmitter Selection In G.8275.1 Full Timing Support Networks, Anonymous Feb 2026

Frequency-Traceability-Aware Timetransmitter Selection In G.8275.1 Full Timing Support Networks, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Telecom packet timing networks based on the ITU-T G.8275.1 full timing support architecture typically use IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) for time and phase distribution together with Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) for frequency delivery, with upstream TimeTransmitter selection performed by the G.8275.1 alternate Best TimeTransmitter Clock Algorithm (A-BTCA). The existing A-BTCA prioritizes PTP dataset attributes such as clockClass, clockAccuracy, and variance, but does not consider the IEEE 1588 frequency traceability indication, even though frequency traceability can be critical in hybrid PTP+SyncE deployments. This disclosure identifies fault and holdover scenarios in which the current selection behavior can prefer a TimeTransmitter with …

Roux-En-Y Duodenojejunostomy As Surgical Treatment For Congenital Duodenal Obstruction: A Case Report, Ahmad Yani, Albireza Ruhimat Feb 2026

Roux-En-Y Duodenojejunostomy As Surgical Treatment For Congenital Duodenal Obstruction: A Case Report, Ahmad Yani, Albireza Ruhimat

The New Ropanasuri Journal of Surgery

Introduction. Congenital duodenal obstruction is an anatomical abnormality in newborns. Various intrinsic and extrinsic etiologies can cause duodenal obstruction. The surgical treatment that is commonly performed on duodenal obstruction in neonates is duodenoduodenostomy. However, several etiological conditions, such as preduodenal portal vein (PDPV) and pancreatic annulare cause duodenoduodenostomy nearly impossible to perform, so an alternative surgery procedure with a good outcome is necessary.

Case Illustration. A female neonate had been suspected congenital duodenal obstruction since pregnancy due to polyhydramnios. An OGT was inserted with greenish yellow residue after the baby was born. Based on abdominal x-ray examination, a …

Staff Education To Improve Medication Adherence Among Nurses, Philip Nkemgang

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Medication nonadherence among individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) contributes to relapse, hospital readmissions, and poor patient outcomes. Psychiatric nurses are central to promoting adherence, yet many lack standardized, evidence-based training. This Doctor of Nursing Practice project evaluated the effect of a structured nurse education program on medication adherence strategies, including psychoeducation and motivational interviewing, on nurses’ knowledge and confidence. Using the Johns Hopkins nursing evidence-based practice model, an online educational intervention was developed and implemented with 18 psychiatric nurses. Pre- and post-education surveys measured changes in knowledge and self-reported confidence, with data analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results demonstrated significant …

The purpose of this practice-focused DNP project was to evaluate the impact of a structured staff education intervention on healthcare staff knowledge, attitudes, and confidence in caring for patients with OUD. The project was guided by a thorough evidence search. The project was implemented using brief, unit-based educational sessions delivered to interdisciplinary …

Dexmedetomidine To Minimize Cognitive Dysfunction After Cardiac Surgery, Lakesha Portis Ivey, Lisa Herbinger Feb 2026

Dexmedetomidine To Minimize Cognitive Dysfunction After Cardiac Surgery, Lakesha Portis Ivey, Lisa Herbinger

Group: Samford University Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing

Delirium is a common finding after cardiac surgery and can lead to increased morbidity and mortality rates and prolonged intensive care stays. Patients suffering postoperative delirium can experience neurological decline 12 months after surgery regardless of baseline neurological status. Postoperative delirium associated with cardiac surgery is hypothesized to be caused by surgical stress, decreased cardiac output, decreased intracranial perfusion, and prolonged exposure to cardiopulmonary bypass leading to disrupted neuroinflammatory pathways leading to neuronal injury. Dexmedetomidine, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, can be neuroprotective and may decrease the incidence of postoperative delirium in cardiac patients.

The case study involved a 69-year-old ASA …

What Is Happening In The World Today And Why: Humanity’S Evolving Consciousness And The Role Of Archetypal Energies As Guides During An Unfolding Weeding Out And Alignment Process, Carroy U. Ferguson

Psychology Faculty Publication Series

What is happening in the world today and why? Humanity is evolving its consciousness at individual and collective levels. Given these seemingly tumultuous times, as of this writing (January 2026), to make such a statement may sound like a strange thing to say. However, I suggest that if you are alive today and if you are reading these words, these are the very times for which you were born--to assist Humanity as it evolves its consciousness with your unique gifts, whatever they may be. That is, this period of our individual and collective human being-ness may be characterized as an …

Characterizing The Effect Of Plasticity Index On Monotonic And Cyclic Shear Behavior Of Natural Low-Plastic Silt Mixtures, Amir Barati-Nia Feb 2026

Characterizing The Effect Of Plasticity Index On Monotonic And Cyclic Shear Behavior Of Natural Low-Plastic Silt Mixtures, Amir Barati-Nia

Dissertations and Theses

Low-plasticity silts are "transitional" soils prevalent in many seismically active regions, including the Pacific Northwest. Most research in the literature has historically focused on sand materials or clay materials, while low plastic silt does not fit either traditional "sand-like" or "clay-like" frameworks, resulting in a knowledge gap regarding this type of soil. Knowing the behavior of this type of soil is more important because it is susceptible to liquefaction or cyclic softening. Existing research on low-plastic silts is mostly based on either intact soil, where some parameters, such as the overconsolidation ratio (OCR) and plasticity index (PI), cannot be accurately …

Slope Reliability Analysis Based On Iwoa-Svm, Wang Jinfeng, Fan Shengtong, Xie Haibo

Journal of China & Foreign Highway

To address the difficulties traditional slope reliability calculation methods face in considering the uncertainty among multiple variables and the large computational burden, this paper proposed a slope reliability analysis method based on the improved whale optimization algorithm (IWOA) and support vector machine (SVM). First, the basic theory of SVM was described. The differential mutation strategy and adaptive weight factor were introduced to improve the whale optimization algorithm (WOA), and the performance of the IWOA was tested. Then, the key parameters of SVM were optimized based on the IWOA, and the slope reliability analysis model was constructed. Finally, by taking a …
