Computation Of The Unreliable Mx/M/1 Model For Multiple Working Vacations Queuing System With Encouraged Arrivals, Sujipriya. A, K Julia Rose Mary
Baghdad Science Journal
This research analyzed queuing system with encouraged arrivals under multiple working vacations and server breakdowns. It is based on a Mx/M/1 model, where the customers arrive in batches or bulk. In addition, the arrival follows a Poisson process and the service time is distributed exponentially. Moreover, in this queuing system, breakdowns can occur at any time, and it is affecting the server's service time. The repair time is independent. Server resume the service as soon as returns from the service facility. Repair time follows exponential distribution. Encouraged arrival in queuing models involves external factors or incentives that prompt …

The rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has strained global healthcare systems, necessitating efficient diagnostic methods. While Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and antigen tests are common, they have limitations in speed and precision. Enhancing the accuracy of imaging techniques, especially Chest X-rays (CXR) and Computerized Tomography (CT) scans, is crucial for detecting COVID-19-related lung abnormalities. CXR, being cost-effective and accessible, is preferred over CT scans, but accurate diagnosis often requires technological support. To address this, an extensive dataset of CXR images categorized into five classes is available on Kaggle. Processing such data involves steps like grayscale conversion, image intensity adjustment, …

On (J - Δ) Semi Homogeneous Systems Of Differential Equations, Aya H. Hasan, Bassam Jabbar Al-Asadi
Baghdad Science Journal
The concept of homogeneity in differential equations can be generalized to systems of differential equations as shown in this work. The classification of three-dimensional differential equation systems is presented based on the definition of the Jacobean matrix and its determinant, where two systems of the homogeneous system are defined, called the J-semi-homogeneous system and the other δ-semi-homogeneous system, where the first definition is based on the Jacobian matrix, while the second is based on the determinant of the Jacobite matrix. Examples are given for both definitions, and the relationship between the two definitions will be studied. In addition to finding …

Analysis Of Prey, Predator And Top Predator Model Involving Various Functional Responses, Divya B., K. Kavitha
Baghdad Science Journal
This research proposes a mathematical model to investigate the dynamical behavior of the system of three species, namely prey, predator and top predator. The feeding behavior of each predator serves as a functional response. The interaction between the species is carried out by a functional response. Crowley Martin functional response is incorporated between prey and predator while Holling type III functional response occurs between predator and top predator. The existence of positivity and boundedness of the system have been examined. The equilibrium points of the system are determined. The system has been linearized by applying the Jacobian matrix. The main …

New Approximating Results By Weak Convergence Of Forked Sequences, Bareq Baqi Salman, Salwa Salman Abed
Baghdad Science Journal
The modular function spaces are natural generalization of spaces like Lebesgue space, Orlicz space, Lorentz p-space, Orlicz--Lorentz space, Musielak--Orlicz space, et al. The function modulars lack basic and flexible properties that norm functions have, as they are functional lacks homogeneity and subadditivity and, therefore, it might be surprising to use techniques involving asymptotic centers, normal structure and uniform convexity to obtain fixed point theorems. The purpose of this paper is to give a new accelerated iterative algorithm for multi valued\single valued mappings in modular function spaces and to prove some results about their convergence (strong or weak) to a fixed …

Hopf And Zero-Hopf Bifurcation Of The Four-Dimensional Lotka-Volterra Systems, Sirwan A. Mustafa, Niazy H. Hussen
Baghdad Science Journal
In this work, the four-dimensional Lotka-Volterra model (4DLV) involving four species in a constant environment is considered. The objective of this investigation is to study the local bifurcations occurring in the system. This system has at most sixteen possible equilibrium points. One of the equilibrium points is considered in order to investigate the periodic solutions that bifurcate from the Hopf and the zero-Hopf equilibrium points, respectively. It has been proven that, five families of sufficient conditions exist on the parameters of the system in which the Jacobian matrix at equilibrium point has a pair of purely imaginary ± iω …

A New Way For Justice For Families Of Schoolchildren With Disabilities? A Case Note On Luna Perez V. Sturgis Public Schools, Kevin R. Hart
New Mexico Law Review
For years, the majority of courts have ruled that parents of children with disabilities were required to exhaust special education due process procedures before filing civil actions under other disability statutes. Change would come through Luna Perez v. Sturgis Public Schools. In Luna Perez, a deaf student, Miguel Luna Perez, was denied a free and appropriate education for eleven years. After settling the case under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Mr. Luna Perez (initially through his mother, but later continuing on his own) filed a claim for compensatory damages under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section …

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a commonly used sweetener in soft drinks and processed foods, and HFCS exacerbates inflammation when consumed in excess. Fructose, a primary component of HFCS; however, it is unclear whether fructose directly activates inflammatory signaling. Growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR) is a receptor of the nutrient‐sensing hormone ghrelin. We previously reported that GHSR ablation mitigates HFCS‐induced inflammation in adipose tissue and liver, shifting macrophages toward an anti‐inflammatory spectrum. Since inflammation is primarily governed by innate immune cells, such as macrophages in the peripheral tissues and microglia in the brain, this study aims to investigate whether …

Plasma membrane rupture by Ninjurin-1 (NINJ1) executes programmed cell death, releasing large cellular damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). However, the regulation and selectivity of NINJ1-mediated DAMP release remain unexplored. Here, we uncover that murine norovirus (MNoV) strategically co-opts NINJ1 to selectively release the intracellular viral protein NS1, while NINJ1-mediated plasma membrane rupture simultaneously bulk-releases various cellular DAMPs. Host caspase-3 cleaves the precursor NS1/2, leading to NS1 secretion via an unconventional pathway. An unbiased CRISPR screen identifies NINJ1 as an essential factor for NS1 secretion. During infection, NINJ1 is recruited to the viral replication site, where it oligomerizes and forms speckled bodies, …
