This study was undertaken in order to: (1) determine the basic motor skill and physical fitness levels of both migrant and resident students enrolled in the Chief Kamiakin School and Outlook School located in Sunnyside District #201; and (2) apply this knowledge to their present physical education program. In addition the writer devised a curriculum of activities for the migrant students, designed to upgrade their physical capabilities. This study was initiated to determine the value of the Illinois Test of Psycholinguistic Abilities in identification, diagnosis, placement, and program development for children designated as Educationally Handicapped. The purpose of this study was to determine if the enrichment and supplementing of creative activities relating to and incorporated in spelling lessons would bring about greater achievement in spelling than the traditional method of only stressing skills and principles. Practical application of combining the creative activities and the traditional method of spelling was used in the fourth-year classroom. The purpose of this study was to objectively describe a method of teaching English communication skills to Spanish-speaking Mexican-migrant adults. A program of experiences was developed to teach communication skills to Mexican-migrant adults. An attempt was made to overcome the difficulties these adults face in learning a second language and to bring about the changes in attitude necessary for ready adaptation to the culture in which they now find themselves. The important factor in teaching communication skills is the building of an adequate English vocabulary.
