Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affected structurally vulnerable populations in the United States. COVID-19 testing was instrumental in controlling viral spread and linking people to treatment; however, testing rates were lower among racial and ethnic minority groups. Our objective was to identify factors associated with desired COVID-19 testing behavior among vulnerable populations.

Methods: We conducted an exploratory cohort study of at-home COVID-19 testing between March 2022 and November 2023 in Portland, Maine. Partnering with trusted community organizations, we engaged participants from immigrant, housing-unstable, substance-using, and low-income/uninsured communities. This research project examines the impact of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policies on the college decision-making process of student-athletes. With the NCAA’s 2021 update on the restrictions to NIL compensation, student-athletes now factor financial opportunities into their college choices alongside other considerations such as athletic success, academics, and location. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, this research includes interviews with Division 1 student-athletes across football, basketball, and baseball, as well as an analysis of transfer data and NIL market trends. The speaker begins with little to no motivation, and evolves a passion for both justice and love. Throughout the collection, the speaker grows more ambitious about the possibilities of a new love and a more optimistic tomorrow, even while they can be disgusted by the indifference of their peers. The speaker’s unchecked ambition grows and solidifies the connection between self isolation and mental illness. Traditional dissectors like Grant’s Dissector typically provide only 2D images to guide brain removal. These manuals often do not include the occipital wedge approach, which favors cranial nerve preservation during brain dissection. Objective: To evaluate the impact of transparent Bloom’s Taxonomy (BT) item mapping on the student experience.

Methods: First-year student pharmacists were oriented to BT twice during their first semester. Using a quasi-experimental research design, a point-of-care testing (POCT) active learning exercise and related low-stakes assessment were identified for the intervention. Following the active learning, a five-question “exit ticket” on Google Forms was randomly distributed based on QR codes: Group 1 (n=20) had no BT item mapping and Group 2 (n=20) had BT labels for each item. Many students struggle to easily find parking during the school day at Lipscomb University, and this problem will only be emphasized with the potential removal of the nearby Stokes parking lot (containing 255 spaces). To combat this need and help provide additional room for university growth, we propose the addition of a parking garage west of the Fields engineering building, between Belmont Boulevard and Grandview Drive. This garage would be separated from the current garage behind Fields and be slightly larger, containing about 500 spaces over five levels. Over 1.5 billion of the poorest people are infected with soil-transmitted helminths (STH) such as whipworm, hookworm, and Ascaris which have devastating effects on human growth, nutrition, and cognition, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. The World Health Organization only approves four anthelmintic drugs to treat STH for mass drug administration (MDA), with Albendazole being the drug of choice. Due to these drugs only having two mechanisms of action, resistance to these drugs has been reported over the years. The objective of this study is to explore the negative experiences that resulted from the externalizing behaviors of parents/guardians, the effect these parental externalizing behaviors currently have on the internalizing and externalizing behaviors expressed by the individual, and how an understanding of an individual’s negative experiences can potentially produce changes regarding the individual’s internalizing and externalizing behaviors. The ways in which people “treat” others (externalizing behaviors in interpersonal relationships), is highly dependent on cognitions associated with said behaviors. It challenges the traditional Documentary Hypothesis, which dates the Pentateuch to the Persian and Hellenistic periods, by presenting evidence that many biblical narratives, themes, and motifs are rooted in the cultural and religious milieu of Ancient Egypt, that could not be older than the 1st Millennium B.C.E. It is estimated that nearly 1.5 billion people worldwide are infected with at least one species of intestinal parasite: whipworm, hookworm, or roundworm (Weaver et al). Emodepside is a drug in veterinary use that is used to deworm intestinal parasitic nematodes. Emodepside binds to presynaptic lactrophillin receptors in nematodes paralyzing the pharynx and other somatic musculature (Harder et al). In a recent study, patients that used Emodepside to treat hookworm had a 95% cure rate after taking 30mg (Mrimi et al).
