Background: While cyclophosphamide (CP) is a commonly used immunosuppressant and anticancer drug, it has a high risk of testicular toxicity. Background The role of vitamin D in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis is controversial. This study aims to assess the relation between vitamin D level and rheumatoid arthritis disease activity. Patients and methods This study was conducted on 80 rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients beside 40 healthy persons. Vitamin D level was assessed in all participants. Rheumatoid activity was assessed using DAS28 (disease activity score). RA patients were classified according to DAS 28 into two groups: active group and remission group. Background Laryngotracheal reconstruction (LTR) is a well-established surgical procedure for the management of pediatric subglottic stenosis, with rib cartilage grafts. This study was conducted to evaluate preoperative and intraoperative discrepancies of rib graft used in laryngotracheal reconstruction using ultrasonic criteria in terms of their height, thickness, and length. Methods This prospective cohort study was conducted on 10 pediatric patients who underwent LTR at Mansoura University Hospitals. The most prevalent chromosomal disorder is Down syndrome (DS). Neurodevelopmental disorders are highly associated with Down syndrome, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Down syndrome is also distinguished by intellectual disability and developmental delays, with many affected individuals presenting manifestations of ADHD like inattention or hyperactivity. Differentiating ADHD from overlapping DS-related cognitive deficits remains a diagnostic dilemma. The FKBP5 gene, particularly the rs7748266 polymorphism, has been implicated in modulating stress response pathways linked to ADHD susceptibility. Background: Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is an enzyme responsible for the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins. Despite previous studies, there is controversy considering the exact role of COX-2 in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and its related adverse cardiovascular events. Background: Psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated dermatosis characterized by dysregulated cutaneous immunity. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), an autologous biomaterial concentrated with immunomodulatory cytokines and growth factors, presents a potential novel therapeutic approach by modulating localized inflammatory pathways. Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of a topical and intralesionally autologous PRF protocol in patients with localized plaque psoriasis. Background The uric acid index (UAI) has recently gained recognition as a potential indicator for cardiovascular risk, particularly among middle-aged individuals. This research investigated the association between UAI levels and cardiovascular disease risk in Egyptian patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Methods 200 individuals with T2DM were included in this cross-sectional analysis.
