Generative AI has revolutionized media landscapes around the globe, including in Kenya. Widely known for mobile technology adoption and digital entrepreneurship, Kenya's journalism field is experiencing drastic transformation thanks to AI's powerful abilities. This article aims to read Taiwan’s 2019 cinematic horror sensation, Detention, as part of the nation’s effort to construct a grand narrative of collective commemoration, as it tries to streamline its multiple conflicting memories about the Nationalist government’s violent political suppressions of suspected dissidents during the mid-20th century, commonly called the White Terror. For this nationalist narrative to follow the Gothic scenario of progression from repression to liberation, embarrassing elements of the past, especially many White Terror victims’ sympathy with the Chinese Communist Party, must be de-politicized and dis-remembered. My thesis is focused on how and why ambiguity/double meanings within the language of Shakespeare plays occurs, and how this can be adapted into a ballet format as there is no verbal component. As well as why this aspect of the plays is so vital to the portrayal of the characters that to remove it would be to severely reduce the impact of the story. It focuses specifically on the plays and ballets of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet, with the NYC Ballet versions of both as a reference.

Illness memoirs with first-person point of view have gained more attention in recent years among medical sociologists and anthropologists. Different from traditional “case histories”written by doctors that are in danger of ignoring patients’ voices, autopathograhical works delineate narrators’ transformative experiences of persons to patients, emphasizing the importance of gaining social understanding of illness. This thesis examines what is at stake in the highly-racialized, -sexualized, and -gendered systems in which male Colby students craft self-concepts and how the college culture both rejects and replicates broader social notions of masculinity. "Hip-hop music dominates popular culture and fuels the global entertainment industry, from music to dance, film, advertising, television, social media, and the internet.8 Hip-hop music, also known as rap, is an art form created by African American artists, but largely controlled through distribution and intellectual property ('IP') transfers by majority white-led corporations.9 From its inception, hip-hop presented a challenge to prevailing theories and doctrines of intellectual property, especially copyright law. Today, the gauntlet of rules regarding who is an IP owner, what is and is not protected, and the law’s bias toward the sophisticated continues to burden hip-hop artists."

Mediation processes are inherently complex and require flexibility and adaptability. This is especially true for mediation processes involving multiple parties with diverse cultural backgrounds. This paper examines the complexities created by cultural diversity in mediation. The paper highlights a dispute between the local community of Msango, West Africa, and an international mining company. It highlights how linguistic and literacy barriers complicated the process, undermining effective communication and progress. The complication identified at the start of the process necessitated the process design to encompass tools to overcome the barriers identified early on. This study aims at developing a novel assessment tool that can quantitatively evaluate the level of biophilia integration in healthcare facilities. The developed assessment tool helps to address the difficulty of biophilia quantification in the built environment due to the broad nature of the biophilia concept. The Ainu are the indigenous people of the northern region of Japan which is adjacent to the Russian border. An important Ainu musical instrument is the Tonkori, a wooden 5-string instrument played for entertainment purposes. The current Tonkori music is considered to be introduced by Sakhalin Ainu, one of the sub-ethnic groups of Ainu who migrated to Hokkaido prefecture after WWII. This study draws on the framework of mediatization to analyze how YouTube, as a digital entity, facilitates and transforms audience relations and participation in performances. It employs a literature review to explore the intricate dynamics of audience interaction and performative presence on YouTube within the Indonesian context. The findings from engagement metrics powerfully suggest interaction that exceeds traditional audience participation, signaling a shift towards more immersive and interactive consumption of performance arts. The results underline a shift in audience roles from passive receivers to active participants empowered by the mediatization process with YouTube. This study describes the changes in the dramaturgy of sandiwara, a folk theater in West Sumatra. The research was carried out using a combined research method: literary studies and artistic methods, through a project of making play scripts and dramaturgical worksheets. Research data was collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and individual interviews. The results of the qualitative analysis show that writing a play script can build a play’s creative ethos in sandiwara, bring up the quality, and originality of the ideas and themes. In this article, based on ethnographic research conducted in Perth, Western Australia and Madrid, Spain, we consider how community is understood and enacted for Russian-speaking migrants and its role in cultural (re)production. Studies often overlook the important role of struggle, contestation and power relations in everyday practices of community making. Drawing on Bourdieu’s field theory, we describe the Russian-speaking migrant community as a structured social space in which community leaders and migrant institutions compete for the right to represent the community. Project Alchemy was a two-year, community-focused arts recovery project designed to support artists and regional communities across five Local Government Areas (LGAs) in New South Wales (NSW), Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Victoria (Vic) that were severely impacted by the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires. Conceived and delivered by Rebus Theatre (Canberra, ACT) from 2022 – 2024, the project was funded through a Department of Industry, Science and Resources Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้นักแสดงใช้เครื่องมือของนักแสดง ด้านทักษะจินตนาการ การใช้สมาธิ และการใช้ร่างกาย ในการฝึกการแสดงเพื่อให้เกิดความสมจริงและน่าเชื่อถือในแต่ละตัวละคร โดยบทละครเวทีการแสดงเดี่ยวเรื่อง “นอนไม่หลับ” ของนิกร แซ่ตั้ง นักแสดงต้องสามารถแสดงเป็นตัวละครหลายบทบาท หลายสถานการณ์ และต้องสื่อสารกับผู้ชมอีกด้วย การวิจัยนี้ใช้กระบวนการฝึกทักษะการแสดงและสังเคราะห์จากแนวคิดของนักทฤษฎีการละครที่มีความสำคัญ จากทั้ง คอนสแตนติน สตานิสลาฟกี้ (Constantin Stanislavski)สเตลล่า แอดเลอร์ (Stella Adler) ไมเคิล เชคคอฟ (Michael Chekchov) ทั้งนี้การวิจัยได้ศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ผลจากการฝึกซ้อมเพื่อหาความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างทฤษฎีและการปฏิบัติจากกระบวนการฝีก บันทึกวิดีทัศน์ และการฝึกซ้อมการแสดงร่วมกับผู้กำกับการแสดง ประเมินการแสดงจากอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา รวบรวมผลการประเมินจากการนำเสนอผลงานของผู้วิจัย เก็บข้อมูลแบบสอบถามจากผู้ชม และเสวนาพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนจากผู้ทรงวุฒิหลังจบการแสดงของผู้วิจัย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การฝึกการปฏิบัติด้วยแนวทางการฝึกจินตนาการ สมาธิ ร่างกาย ที่มีความสม่ำเสมอและต่อเนื่องจะช่วยทำให้นักแสดงเชื่อในสถานการณ์ของตัวละครได้ และมีความกังวลที่ลดลง และมีความอิสระเป็นตัวละครมากยิ่งขึ้นขณะแสดง

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการเขียนบทละครเวทีสำหรับเยาวชนช่วงวัยรุ่น อายุ 12-15 ปี โดยมุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมการยอมรับตนเองและความมั่นใจของวัยรุ่นผ่านบทละครเวที ผ่านการทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องใน 5 ประเด็นหลัก ได้แก่ การเขียนบทละครตามแบบฉบับ, แนวทางการเขียนบทละครสำหรับเยาวชน, เกมออนไลน์, พัฒนาการของวัยรุ่นตอนต้น, และการทำงานร่วมกับเยาวชนในโครงการแก่นอีสานวัฒน์ เพื่อค้นหาสาระสำคัญที่เชื่อมโยงกับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย จากนั้นผู้วิจัยได้พัฒนาบทละครร่าง "ไอ้หัวกล่อง" ร่วมกับผู้กำกับและนักแสดงจนได้บทละครที่ใช้สำหรับการทดลองอ่านในกลุ่มเยาวชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดขอนแก่น ผลการศึกษาพบว่า บทละครสามารถสื่อสารประเด็นการยอมรับตนเองและการเห็นคุณค่าในตนเองได้ แต่ยังจำเป็นต้องพัฒนาบทให้มีความสมบูรณ์มากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะเรื่องย่อที่เป็นส่วนสำคัญของการกำหนดทิศทางเรื่อง แม้ว่าบทละครในขั้นตอนนี้จะยังไม่สมบูรณ์ แต่การทดลองอ่านและรับฟังความคิดเห็นจากเยาวชนช่วยให้ผู้วิจัยสามารถเข้าใจถึงความต้องการของกลุ่มเป้าหมายและปรับปรุงบทละครได้ดียิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า บทละครสามารถพัฒนาเป็นเครื่องมือในการทำงานร่วมกับเยาวชนในฐานะฟาซิลิเตเตอร์ (Facilitator) โดยให้เยาวชนมีส่วนร่วมในการเขียนบทและกระบวนการฝึกทำละคร ซึ่งช่วยให้พวกเขาได้เรียนรู้การยอมรับตนเองและสร้างความมั่นใจในตนเองจากการฝึกฝนทำละคร
