Measuring The Performance Of Sdgs In Provincial Level Using Regional Sustainable Development Index, Nurafiza Thamrin, Ika Yuni Wulansari, Puguh Bodro Irawan
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
Measuring the national and sub-national progress in achieving such globally adopted development agendas as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is particularly challenging due to data availability and compatibility of indicators to measure SDGs, especially in Indonesia. This paper attempts to measure the performance of sustainable development at the regional level in Indonesia by newly constructing a multidimensional composite index called the Regional Sustainable Development Index (RSDI). RSDI comprises four dimensions, covering comprehensive economic, social, environmental, and governance indicators. By applying factor analysis, the paper assesses the uncertainty of RSDI and the sensitivity of its composing indicators, then further investigates the relationship …

MiRNAs play crucial roles in a broad spectrum of biological processes, both physiological and pathological. Different reports implicate miR-205 in the control of breast stem cell properties. Differential miR-205 expression has been observed in different stages of mammary gland development and maturation. However, a functional role in this process has not been clearly demonstrated. We generated an miR-205 knockout in the FVB/N mouse strain, which is viable and characterized by enhanced mammary gland development. Indeed, mammary glands of miR-205

The migratory locust, scientifically known as Locusta migratoria (Linnaeus, 1758), is a captivating insect species that has drawn the interest of scientists, farmers, and the general public. Recognized for its notorious swarming behavior, this insect has the potential to cause extensive damage to crops, leading to agricultural plagues and food shortages. However, beyond its reputation as a pest, the migratory locust is a subject of scientific fascination due to its intricate life cycle, remarkable ability to undergo rapid and dramatic transformations, and its crucial role within the ecosystems it inhabits. This review delves into various facets of L. migratoria, including …

Land use change and habitat fragmentation affect biodiversity through an increasing level of disturbance and destruction of natural habitats. The present study is the first report on species diversity, species composition, and abundance of moth fauna in and around Chebera Churchura national park. During the survey from January to June 2021, 6206 specimens were collected from 105 species and 11 families from the 3 land use types. Based on the number of species, the family Erbidae is the most abundant with 41 species, and the family Pyraldae was the least abundant with one species. Based on the number of individuals, …

African lion (Panthera leo) being most attractive but vulnerable exhibit of zoos and safaris; need particular attention to breeding plans. At captive sites, lioness neglects newborns commonly; at that stage, hand rearing is preferred. This study will highlight the best practices for hand-rearing lion cubs, including knowledge of early medical issues along with their treatment during the first 4 months of growth. 34 lions (08Male: 17Females: 9Cubs) were housed on 15 acres during 2019-21 at Safari Zoo Lahore. A total of 04 lionesses were found entirely abandoned to 05 newborns (03 males & 02 females). The hand-rearing period …

Do Characteristics Of Board Affect Sustainable Finance Disclosure? Evidence: Asean Banking Industry, Reysvana Rukmana Cakti, Y Anni Aryani
Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia
Sustainability is an essential aspect of previous investigations on the relationship between business practices and sustainability commitments. These investigations showed how positive changes in this context have guided the banking system toward embracing sustainable finance. Therefore, the current study aimed to investigate the effect of board characteristics on sustainable finance disclosure within ASEAN banking industry, using a panel data regression model. The results showed that only board size had a positive and significant effect on sustainable finance disclosure. Meanwhile, variables such as board gender, board education, and foreign board was reported to be insignificant. This study provided valuable insight into …

The increasing number of motorized vehicles in Jakarta is causing environmental damage and can harm human health. In recent years, the Jakarta local government has the vision to focus on improving the human mobility network, including the pedestrian networks. As a heavily trafficked road, Jalan Kyai Tapa, West Jakarta, is used by many people. However, it may feel uncomfortable to walk there due to heat and sun exposure, which is compounded by extensive pavement coverage. The thermal condition of the pedestrian corridor is essential to create a comfortable walking experience. The objective of this study was to analyze the thermal …

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
The developments of the global economy and society impact resources and the environment. This condition requires an alternative to find new, safe, and sustainable energy types. The conversion of cellulose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) has become a significant area of research interest. It has triggered the development of research directions related to biomass and energy because it can be an intermediary source for making polymers, solvents, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels. The primary objective of this study is to give a bibliometric analysis of 1753 reports on the development of research on cellulose conversion to 5-HMF from 1965 to 2021. The data were …

Objective: Tramadol and 3,4-methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) use over an extended period is linked to deficits in memory encoding and retrieval. We aimed to determine the neurotoxic effects of co-administration of MDMA and tramadol (TRAM) on hippocampal function and investigate the potential of FMRFamide in attenuating resulting alterations in the Wistar rat model. Methods: Thirty adult male Wistar rats were grouped into six (n=5): Control, FMRFamide, TRAM, MDMA, TRAM+MDMA, and TRAM + MDMA + FMRFamide groups. The opiates were administered orally at 20mg/kg each, while 2mg/kg of FMRFamide was administered intraperitoneally for 12 days using normal saline as a vehicle. The Barnes …
