The Effect Of Adding Aluminium On The Performance Of Zno Nrs/Pani In Their Application As Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting, Eprilia Trikusuma Sari, Nandang Mufti, Anissa Chairani Alfin Nadhira, Hari Wisodo, Markus Diantoro
Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science and Technology (JMEST)
Photoelectrochemical (PEC) is a new renewable energy technology that converts H2O into hydrogen and oxygen gas with the help of sunlight. A photoelectrochemical cell device consists of three main components, one of which is the photoanode. One of the materials that can be used as a photoanode is ZnO which has good electrical properties and is non-toxic. Nanorods-structured ZnO has the advantage of being able to increase light absorption due to its high surface area. However, the resulting performance is still quite low. So it is necessary to make modifications to the photoanode, one of which is by adding aluminium …

Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based On Weighted Domain Adaptive Convolutional Neural Network, Wenfeng Zhang, Zhichao Zhu, Dinghui Wu
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: A rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on a weighted domain adaptive convolutional neural network (WDACNN) is proposed to solve the problem that the data distribution of vibration signals of rolling bearings changes due to workload changes, which leads to poor generalization of fault diagnosis algorithm. In this method, the domain adaptation algorithm is embedded in the convolutional neural network to make the classifier based on the source domain achieve excellent generalization in the target domain, and the weight coefficient is introduced to weight the samples in the source domain to reduce the influence of the class weight deviation. …

Eosinophilic airway inflammation, complicated by bronchial asthma and eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS), is difficult to treat. The disease may become refractory when eosinophilic mucin associated with eosinophil peroxidase (EPX) and autoantibodies fills in the paranasal sinus and small airway. This study investigated the functional role of an anti-EPX antibody in eosinophilic mucin of ECRS in eosinophilic airway inflammation. Eosinophilic mucin was obtained from patients with ECRS. The effects of the anti-EPX antibody on dsDNA release from eosinophils and eosinophilic mucin decomposition were evaluated. Immunofluorescence or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were performed to detect the anti-EPX antibody and its supernatant and serum …

China Maritime Report No. 33: China's Sea-Based Nuclear Deterrent: Organizational, Operational, And Strategic Implications, David C. Logan
CMSI China Maritime Reports
China’s development of a credible sea-based deterrent has important implications for the PLAN, for China’s nuclear strategy, and for U.S.-China strategic stability. For the PLAN, the need to protect the SSBN force may divert resources away from other missions; it may also provide justification for further expansion of the PLAN fleet size. For China’s nuclear strategy and operations, the SSBN force may increase operational and bureaucratic pressures for adopting a more forward-leaning nuclear strategy. For U.S.-China strategic stability, the SSBN force will have complex effects, decreasing risks that Chinese decisionmakers confront use-or-lose escalation pressures, making China less susceptible to U.S. …

Keeping replication fork stable is essential for safeguarding genome integrity; hence, its protection is highly regulated. The CTC1-STN1-TEN1 (CST) complex protects stalled forks from aberrant MRE11-mediated nascent strand DNA degradation (NSD). However, the activation mechanism for CST at forks is unknown. Here, we report that STN1 is phosphorylated in its intrinsic disordered region. Loss of STN1 phosphorylation reduces the replication stress-induced STN1 localization to stalled forks, elevates NSD, increases MRE11 access to stalled forks, and decreases RAD51 localization at forks, leading to increased genome instability under perturbed DNA replication condition. STN1 is phosphorylated by both the ATR-CHK1 and the calcium-sensing …
