The unemployed from vocational high schools (SMK) is still high. Several factors, including the low job readiness of vocational students and the small availability of jobs, cause the high unemployment rate for vocational schools. This study aims to develop a learning model of Integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL-T) and test the effectiveness of the PjBL-T model in preparing vocational students' job readiness. The design of this study adopted the Richey and Klein model stages. This research was carried out in three stages: model development, internal validation, and external validation. This study used research subjects consisting of 10 vocational teachers, ten …

The literature study was carried out through the stages of planning, selection, extraction, and selection. There are 86 articles reviewed. The first result is …

Biotransformation And Biodefluorination Of Fluorotelomer Carboxylic Acids, Chen Wu Dec 2022

Biotransformation And Biodefluorination Of Fluorotelomer Carboxylic Acids, Chen Wu

Dissertations

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), a class of emerging contaminants of concern, have attacked unprecedented attention given their prevalent detection and adverse health effects. Primary regulatory attention has been focused on PFOA, PFOS, and other perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs). Recent investigations revealed that fluorotelomer carboxylic acid (FTCAs), particularly 5:3 FTCA and 6:2 FTCA, were dominant in landfill leachates and other environmental matrixes. FTCAs are also found as common intermediates during the biotransformation of PFAA precursors. Unfortunately, FTCAs have higher bioaccumulating potential and are at least two orders more toxic than their corresponding PFCAs. However, information regarding the potentials and mechanisms of …

Due Process Junior: Competent (Enough) For The Court, Tigan Woolson

Journal of Law and Health

There are many reports presenting expert policy recommendations, and a substantial volume of research supporting them, that detail what should shape and guide statutes for juvenile competency to stand trial. Ohio has adopted provisions consistent with some of these recommendations, which is better protection than relying on case law and the adult statutes, as some states have done. However, the Ohio statute should be considered a work in progress.

Since appeals courts are unlikely to provide meaningful review for the substance of a juvenile competency determination, the need for procedures for ensuring that the determination is initially made in a …

In 2025, Indonesia has launched a zero-waste program. Towards a zero-waste program, of course, the community is given awareness in sorting and processing waste. Waste management is a common problem in urban or rural areas, along with the increase in population and people's lifestyles. Waste problems that are not handled properly can cause environmental problems (pollution of air, soil, and water) and public health. Based on the origin, waste is divided into organic and inorganic waste; organic waste is produced from biological materials that can be degraded by microbes or are biodegradable, or waste from fruit, vegetable, and leaf residues. …

Department of Cancer Biology Faculty Papers

The αVβ6 integrin, an epithelial-specific cell surface receptor absent in normal prostate and expressed during prostate cancer (PrCa) progression, is a therapeutic target in many cancers. Here, we report that transcript levels of ITGB6 (encoding the β6 integrin subunit) are significantly increased in metastatic castrate-resistant androgen receptor-negative prostate tumors compared to androgen receptor-positive prostate tumors. In addition, the αVβ6 integrin protein levels are significantly elevated in androgen receptor-negative PrCa patient derived xenografts (PDXs) compared to androgen receptor-positive PDXs. In vitro, the androgen receptor-negative PrCa cells express high levels of the αVβ6 integrin compared to androgen receptor-positive PrCa cells. Additionally, …
