Introduction: Chronic venous disease is responsible for a great deal of the global disease burden due to its prevalence and socio-economic impact. Non-invasive methods of dealing with the resulting ulcers, that negatively impact mobility, are desirable. Cases Summary: We present five cases of stasis dermatitis and venous ulcers of varying severity, treated with individualised classical homoeopathy showing progress as recorded with the comprehensive classification system for chronic venous disorders (clinical aetiology anatomical pathophysiology) score and venous clinical severity score. There is a need to further investigate scientifically, the role of classical homoeopathy in peripheral vascular diseases.

Introduction: Post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) is the most troublesome complication of herpes zoster (HZ). It often occurs in elderly and immunocompromised persons. Introduction: The population of the North-eastern region of India is prone to develop renal stones, and the prevalence and recurrence rate of renal stone disease is thus higher. A stone more than 0.5 cm diameter can cause painful ureteric obstruction. Stones of size more than 0.7 cm almost always require surgical intervention, as believed in conventional medicine. Repeated surgical interventions may remove obstruction but may not be a solution for altering the tendency for renal stone formation. A literary monument of the eighteenth century, the French Encyclopédie (1751–1772) was a massive reference work written by a team of experts that aimed to depict arts and crafts in unprecedented detail. It eventually grew to contain twenty-eight large folio volumes but the journey there was filled with uncertainty due to royal suppressions from seditious and anti-religious ideas and accusations of plagiarism. This research report presents the findings from the implementation assessment of the NYC Mayor's Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP). Researchers from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice relied on an assortment of evaluation data to identify outcome differences between MAP communities and the matched set of comparison communities. Using administrative and survey data, researchers tested relationships between the various efforts of MAP and key outcomes expected to result from those efforts. Information obtained through interviews and observations provided context to understand the evolution and implementation of MAP. MTAN is a crucial enzyme for some bacteria such as Helicobacter pylori. Transition state analog inhibitor design and fragment-based drug design are drug design approaches typically used independently, but combining these techniques yields inhibitors that bind tightly and are effective in pM concentrations. BACKGROUND: Diagnosing cardiac amyloidosis (CA) from cine-CMR (cardiac magnetic resonance) alone is not reliable. In this study, we tested if a convolutional neural network (CNN) could outperform the visual diagnosis of experienced operators.

METHOD: 119 patients with cardiac amyloidosis and 122 patients with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) of other origins were retrospectively selected. Diastolic and systolic cine-CMR images were preprocessed and labeled. A dual-input visual geometry group (VGG ) model was used for binary image classification. The objective of this study is to investigate Thai translations of postcolonial and African-American literature that contain linguistic hybridity as one of their main characteristics. The study applies Klinger’s (2015) concepts of symbolic and iconic hybridity in narration to explanations of the writers’ and translators’ intention to abrogate English writing norms by using non-standard language. The findings reveal that the Thai translators were unable to maintain the linguistic hybridity found in the source texts due to their use of additional cushioning and grammatically correct Thai language. The purpose of this article is to compare versions of the Saddharma Puṇḍdarīka Sūtra in Chinese. The study found that the Saddharma Puṇḍdarīka Sūtra has been translated into many Chinese versions, three of which exist in the present: Dharmarakṣa’s,  Kumārajīva’s, and Jnanagupta & Dharmagupta’s version: this last being a supplemented version of Kumārajīva’s and therefore not a new translation. Among the Chinese versions mentioned above, Kumārajīva’s is the most popular. From December 2018 to December 2020, ~5000 earthquakes with magnitudes from M1.2 to M3.8 occurred in a small region of 20 × 10 km². These earthquakes were probably triggered by fluid migration during seasonal rainfall. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of rangeland in different botanical composition classes (good, moderate and poor), on water-use efficiency (WUE: crude protein produced per unit of evapotranspiration) and soilwater content. The same measurements were also made on an undisturbed bare soil surface and soil cultivated twice per annum. Evapotranspiration was determined by quantifying the soil-water balance equation with the aid of runoff plots and soil-water content measurements done by a neutron hydroprobe. Serrated tussock (Nassella trichotoma) is the most serious perennial grass weed in southeastern Australia, extending over more than a million hectares. Previous control techniques using herbicides and oversowing with competitive pastures are no longer feasible in many of the lower fertility, infested areas. New management solutions need to be found, based upon a better understanding of the ecology of this species. A survey was done to determine the community structure of serrated tussock infested grasslands. Winter growing C3 grasses were closely associated with serrated tussock, while C4 perennial grasses appeared not to be. It is not known if …
