Over the last decades, the effectiveness of robot-assisted gait training devices has been extensively studied. Welwalk® has been developed to support ambulatory functions in stroke patients based on motor learning theory. Objective: To investigate the effects of Welwalk® plus physiotherapy versus physiotherapy alone, in improving ambulatory function in subacute stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods: The study was an assessor-blinded, randomized controlled trial. Twenty-six subacute stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomized and allocated into either the Welwalk group or control. The exome sequencing study of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) revealed SMAD4 mutation was frequently observed. The role of SMAD4 to cholangiocarcinogenesis as well as cell origin of CCA are not fully understand. According to current CCA model including cell lines and animal models, it still limited in resembling human cells and early event during carcinogenesis. The objective of this study was to study the role of SMAD4 signaling disruption in cholangiocyte progenitors. Background: Colistin use in pediatrics is surging in line with the increase of multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria (MDR-GNB). However, the appropriate dose is uncertain owing to the lack of pharmacokinetics data. In this study, we aimed to characterize the pharmacokinetic parameters of colistin in pediatric patients, identify the factors influencing the pharmacokinetic parameters, and propose optimal dosage regimens. Methods: A prospective, multicenter, population pharmacokinetic (PPK) study was conducted. Serial blood samples were obtained from patients after receiving the standard colistin recommended dose of 5 mg of colistin base activity (CBA)/kg/day. Plasma colistin concentrations were measured. Some chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) have unfavorable results despite proper postoperative treatments including oral and topical steroids. Steroid-impregnated absorbable nasal dressing has been shown to improve outcomes of the surgery. In some clinical practices, budesonide-impregnated nasal dressing is used together with perioperative oral steroid but the additional benefits of it are still unknown. Purpose: To compare the efficacy and safety of topical bevacizumab eye drop versus intra-meibomian gland injection of bevacizumab when used with the standard lid hygiene in meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) patients. Methods: 60 eyes of 30 MGD patients with lid margin telangiectasia were randomized to receive 0.05% bevacizumab eye drop or single 2.5% intra-meibomian gland bevacizumab injection plus standard lid hygiene. To investigate the phytochemicals of the entire plants of Dendrobium braianense brought about in the isolation of three bibenzyls, which included chrysotoxin, moscatilin and gigantol. From the whole plant of D. kentrophyllum three flavonoids, namely, quercetin, kaempferol and rutin were isolated, the structures of which were decided by means of analysis of spectroscopic data to compare the values already reported. They were assessed for their alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity. Gigantol, quercetin and kaempferolwere found to exhibit strong alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity when compared with the positive control acarbose, while chrysotoxin, moscatilin and rutin were devoid of activity.

Workflow analysis was qualitatively conducted using in-depth interviews of pharmacists. The annual expenditure consumed on each drug of pharmacy for the years 2016 and 2017 was analyzed and application of ABC, VEN, ABC-VEN matrix analysis was performed. The aim of this research was to develop a nanogel formulation-based on modified natural polymer, hyaluronic acid (HA), as a biodegradable material for adjuvant delivery. Polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (poly(I:C)) have been approved by FDA as a promising adjuvant candidate for the TLR3 (Toll-Like Receptor 3) activation. One-compartment models built from routine monitoring data, which were mainly trough samples, are commonly used to predict area under the curves (AUC), the useful indicator for vancomycin efficacy. The question stands whether AUCs from 1-compartment models with sparse data can sufficiently represent the true AUC. Currently, plant-based expression system is considered as an alternative viable platform for low-cost recombinant protein production. Hence, this study aims to produce hEGF in Nicotiana benthamiana plants via., transient expression using a geminiviral vector. The hEGF gene constructs were designed into six different constructs.
