Supersymmetric Solutions Of Seven-Dimensional Gauged Supergravities And Ads7/Cft6 Duality, Patharadanai Nuchino
Supersymmetric Solutions Of Seven-Dimensional Gauged Supergravities And Ads7/Cft6 Duality, Patharadanai Nuchino
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Describing quantum field theory using the AdS/CFT duality can broaden string theory applications in the context of the holographic principle. This research study supersymmetric solutions of matter-coupled SO(4) and maximal gauged supergravities in seven dimensions of which the dual field theories are sixdimensional superconformal field theories (SCFTs). We find a large class of domain wall (DW) solutions in the maximal theory with various gauge groups. For SO(5) gauge group admitting an AdS7 vacuum, the solutions describe holographic renormalization group (RG) flows from an N = (2, 0) SCFT to non-conformal field theories (SQFTs) in six dimensions. For other gauge groups …

Charged Fermion In Two-Dimensional Wormhole With Axial Magnetic Field, Trithos Rojjanason
Charged Fermion In Two-Dimensional Wormhole With Axial Magnetic Field, Trithos Rojjanason
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
We investigate the effects of magnetic field on a charged fermion in a (1+2)-dimensional wormhole. Applying external magnetic field along the axis direction of the wormhole, the Dirac equation is set up and analytically solved in two scenarios, constant magnetic flux and constant magnetic field through the throat of the wormhole. For the constant magnetic flux scenario, the system can be solved analytically and exact solutions are found. For the constant magnetic field scenario, with the short wormhole approximation, the quantized energies and eigenstates are obtained. The system exhibits both the spin-orbit coupling and the Landau quantization for the stationary …

The Effect Of Different Surface Treatments On Tensile Bond Strength Of Acrylic Denture Teeth And Light-Cured Composite Resin, Chotinut Wongpornpirot
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
This study evaluated the effect of different surface treatments on the tensile bond strength between acrylic denture teeth and composite resin. Maxillary lateral incisors of conventional acrylic denture teeth (Yamahachi New Ace) and highly cross-linked acrylic denture teeth (Trubyte Bioform IPN teeth) were ground on the labial surfaces. Each type of denture teeth were divided into six groups (n=10) according to surface treatment procedures which are no surface treatment (control), methyl methacrylate treatment (MMA) for 180 seconds, methyl formate-methyl acetate mixture (MF-MA) solution at a ratio of 25:75 (v/v) treatment for 15 seconds, composite bonding agents, MMA (180 seconds) with …

The Roles And Perceptions Of The Thai Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Through Governmental Politics In The Preah Vihear Temple Dispute, Ornthicha Duangratana
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
In the Thai-Cambodian Preah Vihear Temple dispute, the perceptions of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) are investigated. Through the employment of role theory, the MFA's national role conceptions (NRCs), since the Cold War period and with concentration on the years from 2008 to 2013, are explicated. The research presents that the organizational characteristics of the ministry conduce the propensity for cooperative NRCs. At the same time, as the agency dealing with foreign affairs, the material and ideational elements in the external environment are important determinants. Nevertheless, at times, the national public opinion and the decline of the MFA's …

A Comparison Of Emotion Regulation Strategies’ Effectiveness Under Cognitive Fatigue, Sirinapa Churassamee
A Comparison Of Emotion Regulation Strategies’ Effectiveness Under Cognitive Fatigue, Sirinapa Churassamee
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
This research compared the effectiveness of three emotion regulation strategies including reappraisal, distraction, and affect labeling under cognitive fatigue. In the 2 (fatigue vs. non-fatigue) × 3 (emotion regulation strategies) within-subject design, 46 participants were randomly assigned into conditions using an incomplete block design method. Self-report negative emotions and skin conductance responses to emotion-eliciting pictures were measured to compare the effectiveness of the strategies. Results showed that reappraisal was more effective in regulating negative emotions than distraction and affect labeling in both fatigue and non-fatigue conditions. While reappraisal was a robust method of regulating emotion, the other two less-demanding strategies …

Comparative Study Of The Effectiveness Between Used And Non-Used Noise Warning Application On Promoting The Wearing Of Hearing Protection Among Steel Industry Workers In Samut Prakan Province Thailand, Petcharat Kerdonfag
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
The exposure to loud noises from occupational performance is a major problem for workers in steel mills. The operators have to be exposed to loud noises from various types of steel production machinery at all times. These noises may affect to the operator's hearing perception in spite the factories themselves have set up hearing conservation program whereas one element is the procurement of loud noise protection equipment to workers working in loud noise area. But it is still found that the operators hardly prefer wearing hearing protection devices during their working hours to work without wearing them. The main objective …

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Tourism is known as a promoter for economic growth. Lombok island is a place of interest where plenty tourists visit, but a high increasing number of visitors affect to increasing sexual harassment of local children. Child sexual harassment (CSH) is one of the seriously concerned issues. And parents are the best position with high potential to prevent CSH, they can act as a strong external obstacle to the offender accessing children. But there are limited studies were conducted on parent’s knowledge, attitude, and preventive practice (KAPP) about child sexual harassment especially tourism destination. The aims of this study were (1) …
