Water quality has become an increasing concern in recent years. The environmental challenges surrounding water quality include the presence of dissolved metals and their potential impact on human health and the environment. The challenge is exacerbated because many important metals have multiple oxidation states, which affect the health and environmental behavior of the metal. Many metals are known carcinogens and increased anthropogenic effects have inexorably made metals’ accumulation an imposing threat. Analytical instrumentation has advanced in many areas, making it now possible to measure very low concentrations of multiple elements in water. Sexual Violence Among New Mexicans Living With Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Theresa Cruz, D E. Ross-Reed

Sexual violence among people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly prevalent in New Mexico and in the United States. More than one in four New Mexican adults with I/DD report a history of forced sex or attempted forced sex, compared to fewer than 1 in 10 among people without I/DD. Power imbalances between caregivers and clients, lack of sexuality education for people with I/DD, isolation, gaps in caregiver training, frequent staff turnover, a culture of ableism and compliance, and underreporting of sexual violence all contribute to disparities in sexual violence victimization.

This study analyses the Eosinophilia research output carried out during the year 1998 – 2017 the different parameters including authorship pattern, growth, Time Series Analysis Degree of Collaboration, Institutions’ contribution, most productivity journals were analysed. The overall growth rate of literature output is found to be positive with an increasing trend in Eosinophilia research throughout the study period. Two and more authored papers constitute majority of the contribution and degree of collaboration had a maximum value of 7.14. The result shows that research development activities are increasing in Eosinophilia research in India.

This paper deals with the analysis of research output of ICAR- Indian Institute of Horticulture, Bangalore (ICAR-IIHR) during 1989 to 2018 appeared in web of science database. It attempts to analyze the growth and development of research activity of ICAR-IIHR as reflected in publications output in web of science database. Data for a study is total of 1095 have been downloaded and analyzed according to objectives. The study reveals that the growth of literature follows the exponential growth pattern, journal articles are the most published form of literature (90.13%), Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences followed by Current Science are top …

The aim of this study was to assess the information needs, sources and the challenges of information access among women in Sagnerigu district in Northern Ghana. Data was collected through questionnaire and interviews from 150 women participants in different geographical zones in the district. The study discovered that majority of women in the Sagnerigu district often need information that is related to agriculture, health and family planning issues. However, it was clear from the analysis that, the women do not have access to the required information that would alleviate poverty among them. There were two critical access gaps between the …

The ongoing international migration from developing countries to developed ones has led to a large presence of Diaspora population in developed countries. Many of those well-educated and established professionals and businessmen have felt a need to give back to their home countries. The impact of Diaspora in their home country has been realized mainly in four different areas: economic development through remittance, investment and trade; intellectual development via knowledge transfer and knowledge application; social development through philanthropy and volunteerism; and political development via diplomacy, lobbying, awareness raising and political participation.

For decades, scholarship, inspired by Ronald Coase and advocating greater use of property rights and markets, has focused on important “first generation” issues related to establishing property rights. This article makes two main points. First, it highlights the potential for things to go awry after property rights have been established in environmental resources. In emphasizing that property rights may become misallocated, this article draws on the theoretical arguments recently advanced by Eric Posner, Glen Weyl, and Lee Fennell that private property can lead to allocative inefficiency. This article presents a description of the largest environmental disaster in Brazil to date, the rupture of the ore tailings dam which occurred in the municipality of Mariana, Brazil. This event of environmentally, economically and socially catastrophic proportions was caused by a tsunami of mud from tailings resulting from ore exploitation. This article preliminarily describes the magnitude of the event focusing on regulatory failures that can yield lessons in order for future similar events to be avoided. As a legal principle, reciprocity influences the distribution of rights and duties providing a sense of fairness. This article explores the role that reciprocity plays in the law governing the use of transboundary waters shared by nation states (international water law). Three areas of the international law in this field – the duty to cooperate, the rules of procedure, and dispute settlement – are analysed through the lens of reciprocity. This article will compare legal remedies to both pollution and environmental injustice available in the United States and China. In 2015, China adopted a law that shares many features with the U.S. Clean Air Act that have proven successful in the United States. The law is still new, but China’s regional cultural differences, less experience with civil lawsuits, and uncertainty about the rule of law may risk its effectiveness. In this paper we prove that Neutrosophic Set (NS) is an extension of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS) no matter if the sum of single-valued neutrosophic components is < 1, or > 1, or = 1. For the case when the sum of components is 1 (as in IFS), after applying the neutrosophic aggregation operators one gets a different result from that of applying the intuitionistic fuzzy operators, since the intuitionistic fuzzy operators ignore the indeterminacy, while the neutrosophic aggregation operators take into consideration the indeterminacy at the same level as truth-membership and falsehood-nonmembership are taken. Law schools justifiably seek to enroll a diverse student body in order to enrich the academic experience and environment, and to provide attorneys who will serve all segments of our society. American law schools enjoy the constitutional right to maintain such diversity. Indeed, accreditation standards promulgated by the American Bar Association ("ABA") require it. The Association of American Law Schools carries a similar mandate.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (the 2017 Tax Act) significantly altered the federal tax consequences of marriage and divorce by mostly eliminating the so-called "marriage penalty" from the individual income tax rates and abolishing the deduction for alimony payments. These changes represent the latest congressional tinkering with issues that have persisted since the earliest days of the modem income tax, turning back the clock with regard to taxation for both married and divorced couples. Roughly a quarter of a century ago, developing countries, in large numbers, signed on to the 1994 revision of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade3 ("GKTT 1994") and to membership in its umbrella institution, the World Trade Organization ("WTO"). Notwithstanding their erstwhile reluctance to do business with and compete against developed countries that in many instances had been colonial oppressors, they took on substantial obligations under the WTO agreements. Developing countries did so, in part, because they feared being left behind economically in a world where free trade prospered.

The online transaction itself is rote: browse items, add them to your cart, and check out. Somewhere along the way, the consumer is likely made aware of (or at least exposed to) the merchant's terms and conditions, via either a link or a pop-up box.
