Acute exacerbation of interstitial lung disease (ILD) is associated with a poor prognosis and high mortality. Numerous studies have documented acute exacerbation in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), but less is known about these events in other ILDs that may present a progressive-fibrosing phenotype. We propose defining acute exacerbation as an acute, clinically significant respiratory deterioration, typically less than 1 month in duration, together with computerised tomography imaging showing new bilateral glass opacity and/or consolidation superimposed on a background pattern consistent with fibrosing ILDs. Coercive control and physical abuse are two prominent forms of intimate partner violence (IPV), often accompanied by with impression management to conceal such behavior. However, intrinsic motives for engaging in impression management by male IPV offenders are not well-known. The present study makes use of archival data from 85 heterosexual men in a batterer treatment program to gauge how pride, shame, and guilt may relate to impression management and reported IPV. Admission to shame and guilt appear to be correlated with and predictive of both forms of reported abuse, along with the absence of impression management. This implies that internalized …

For this thesis,I present PolyA DB3 ,a database cataloging cleavage and polyadenylation sites (PASs) in several genomes specifically for human,mouse,rat and chicken. This database is based on deep sequencing data. PASs are mapped by the 3’ region extraction and deep sequencing (3’READS) method, ensuring unequivocal PAS identification. This research was aimed to determine the effect of gender on the ability and the difference of critical thinking skills. Data collection methods used a test of critical thinking skills with essays to 71 students. It consists of 35 male and 36 female students. The analysis of the test result is done using descriptive quantitative. The result shows that gender has a weak effect on critical thinking skills. Gender has a high enough influence on critical thinking skills with correlation coefficient value of 0.421. Female students have better critical thinking skills than male students. This research was aimed to produce a product in the form of a Higher Order Thinking Skills-based assessment instrument by utilizing a Filosofi Kopi short stories collection for class X. This product was developed with attention to the aspects of content, language, and display design. The development model used was the O'Malley & Pierce model. Based on the product test results, it was concluded that (1) this assessment instrument was classified as very feasible and could be implemented, and (2) the assessment instrument was classified as reliable because the reliability coefficient obtained was greater than 0.006.

This article focuses on the attitude of the Polish legal elite regarding the adaptation of French civil law introduced on the Polish territories in the Duchy of Warsaw, established by Napoleon in 1807. While addressing the Polish example, it underscores the universal nature of problems engendered by legal transfer and by the social reactions to foreign solutions. It sheds light on the state of mind of Polish enlightened elites, on their approach toward new legal instruments and on the challenges of adapting them to the socioeconomic conditions of a semi-peripheral country. Scholars increasingly use expressions such as “regulatory com-petition” or even “law market” to illustrate the new global legal system and the rivalry between national laws. This paper scrutinizes the legitimacy of the application of such economic concepts to legal systems’ interactions. An economic analysis could allow us to, more precisely, delimit the factors of convergence (leading to unity) and divergence (leading to diversity) between national legal systems due to competitive strategies (namely differentiation and alignment) and the consequences for the regulation of legal systems’ interactions.
