Marketplaces Restrictions And Selective Distribution After Coty Germany, Patrycja Szot, Anna Amza
Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies
This article discusses the framework of selective distribution agreements within EU competition law following the Coty Germany case and the EU Commission’s 2017 E-commerce report. It argues that the judgment removed, in essence, the limitation of sales via online platforms from the ‘by object box’. In respect of luxury goods, the ban is considered not to infringe competition law at all. In this context, the article addresses one of the judgment’s key points: what constitutes a ‘luxury good’ and evaluates to what an extent this definition can be practically applied. Participants in debates about developments in science and technology point to issues overlooked or downplayed by scientists—or, if the debate is among scientists themselves, by other scientists. Sometimes included among participants in debates are interpreters of science—sociologists, historians, philosophers, and scholars from other fields of Science and Technology Studies. In recent years, with the rise of online social networks, personalized recommendations that leverage the aspect of social connections have become a very intriguing domain for researchers. In this work, we explore how influence propagation and the decay in the cascading effect of influence from influential users can be leveraged to generate social graph-based recommendations. Understanding how influence propagates within a social network is itself a challenging problem. In this research, we model the decay in influence propagation in directed graphs, utilizing the structural properties of the social graph to measure the propagated influence beyond one-hop. Current Feedback-Based High Load Current Low Drop-Out Voltage Regulator In 65-Nm Cmos Technology, Melody Teoh

The motivation for this paper was to design a current feedback-based high load current, low drop-out (LDO) voltage regulator. A bandgap voltage reference (BGR) was also designed in conjunction with the LDO to simulate realistic environments. The schematic was designed with Cadence Virtuoso Schematic XL, using the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) 65-nm CMOS library, used for Internet of Things (IoT) System on Chip (SoC) applications. The proposed capacitor-less LDO with BGR provided an average temperature coefficient (TC) of 13.34 ppm/℃ within the range of -40 to 125 ℃. Gelatin in the majority market comes from pigs and cows. The raw material of gelatin manufacture from other sources continue to be studied because it closely related with halal product. Currently gelatin from fish is an alternative to gelatin making. Catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) is a fish species developed in Kampar regency of Riau Province. In the following paper, we demonstrate the use of Fourier Transform as an integrated method to approach the reduction of computational cost in vortex mapping for rotorcraft flight simulators. Fourier Transform is used to analyze airwake data, both in time and spatially, to understand the structure of readily occurring air vortices on the flight deck of a Simplified Frigate Ship configuration (SFS-2). The result was both a clear and descriptive amplitude spectrum for a particular range of positions on the flight deck. This study discusses the process of material procurement of goods, the process of filing documents by staff purchasing, and obstacles experienced by staff purchasing during the procurement process. The method used in the writing of this final work is a field observation method where the authors participate directly to the field to see, research, and perform. In 2015, Thailand employed nearly 11% of the population in agriculture, which has always been a stable and prosperous component of the economy. Having a rich natural abundance of resources, combined with significant investments in technology, food safety, and research and development (R&D) have helped contribute to Thailand being labeled as “Kitchen of the World.” Given these priorities, stratified sampling was employed to select 246 individuals from the target population. Confirmatory factor analysis was used, followed by a structural equation model to analyze how intellectual capital, knowledge management, and the business environment affect innovation in Thailand’s entrepreneurial food industry. In Indonesia, most research in natural polymers focus on application of the polymers as inert pharmaceutical excipients or as drug matrix in micro- and nano- particle. The Mathematical Ideas Analysis hypothesizes that abstract mathematical reasoning is unconsciously organized and integrated with sensory-motor experience. Basic research testing movement, language, and perception during math problem solving supports this hypothesis. Applied research primarily measures students’ performance on math tests after they engage in analogous sensory-motor tasks, but findings show mixed results. Sensory-motor tasks are dependent on several moderators (e.g., instructional guidance, developmental stage) known to help students learn, and studies vary in how each moderator is implemented. However, research on diversity has seldom examined the ineffectiveness of diversity training on attitudes towards societal diversity and cognitive empathy. The present study was conducted to examine how diversity training affects one’s attitudes toward societal diversity and cognitive empathy. Immersive virtual environments are simulated locations that attempt to create a sense of presence, or the psychological feeling that an individual is acting within the simulated environment rather than their physical one. When interfacing with an interactive virtual environment, evidence suggests that aspects of psychological presence are affected, such as time perception and situation awareness. As such, this study hypothesized presence as the construct by which immersive virtual environment usage influences time perception and situation awareness. This study surveys and describes the patterns or modalities of political interference in national roadworks in the Philippines based on an examination of the literature and interviews using process-level frameworks, specifically the project management cycle and the budget cycle framework. Political interference here refers to non-legitimate interventions by politicians in government processes and programs. We argue that it is a form of political corruption. Evidence suggests that this type of interference tends to be prominent in national roadworks. Executive interference occurs at various stages of the project management and budget processes. Dropping from a peak of 88 million riders in 1994, Thailand’s state railway system today is only transporting 35 million passengers annually. Operations run at a loss, with infrastructure and aged equipment contributing to significant delays, and a continuing loss of passengers. However, in September 2017, a new 20-year US$81.57 billion plan was introduced to save the State Railway of Thailand [SRT] from its death spiral. Climate change is expected to change people’s livelihood in significant ways. Several vulnerability factors and readiness factors used for measuring the prediction index of that particular country on how vulnerable of a country towards global change. Primary data was collected from University of Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index (NDGAIN). The data has been trained for the forecasting purpose with support from the validated statistical analysis. The summary of the predicted index is visualized using machine learning tools. A signature is a special form of handwriting that used for human identification process. The current identification process is extremely ineffective. People have to manually compare signatures with the previously stored data. This study proposed SOM Kohonen algorithm as the method of signature pattern recognition. This method has able to visualize high-dimensional data. The image processing method is used in this study in pre-processing data phase. The accuracy of SOM Kohonen was 70 %, indicated the method used was good enough for pattern recognition.
