The purpose of the study was to investigate whether or not there is a significant effect of silent short movie on EFL writing achievement of the vocational high school students. This study was quasi-experimental using a nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. Results from four early childhood practitioner field tests of performance checklists and early intervention practice guides are reported. Findings from the first field test were used to make changes and improvements in the checklists and practice guides evaluated in the second and third field tests, and findings from the latter two field tests were used to improve the checklist and practice guide evaluated in the fourth field test. Pengaruh Ukuran Sampel Dan Intraclass Correlation Coefficients (Icc) Terhadap Bias Estimasi Parameter Multilevel Latent Variable Modeling: Studi Dengan Simulasi Monte Carlo, Muhammad Dwirifqi Kharisma Putra, Jahja Umar, Bahrul Hayat, Agung Priyo Utomo

Studi ini menggunakan simulasi Monte Carlo dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh ukuran sampel dan intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) terhadap bias estimasi parameter multilevel latent variable modeling. Kondisi simulasi diciptakan dengan beberapa faktor yang ditetapkan yaitu lima kondisi ICC (0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25), jumlah kelompok (30, 50, 100 dan 150), jumlah observasi dalam kelompok (10, 20 dan 50) dan diestimasi menggunakan lima metode estimasi: ML, MLF, MLR, WLSMV dan BAYES. Jumlah kondisi keseluruhan sebanyak 300 kondisi dimana tiap kondisi direplikasi sebanyak 1000 kali dan dianalisis menggunakan software Mplus 7.4. Kriteria bias yang masih dapat diterima adalah < 10%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bias yang terjadi dipengaruhi oleh ukuran sampel dan ICC, penelitian ini juga menujukkan bahwa metode estimasi WLSMV dan BAYES berfungsi lebih baik pada berbagai kondisi dibandingkan dengan metode estimasi berbasis ML.

This study aims to produce an emotion assessment model for elementary school students, identify the characteristics of the quality of the emotion assessment instrument, and obtain information about the results of emotion assessment. The study employed the design and development (D&D) approach. The study was conducted at 9 elementary schools. The data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Memaparkan karakteristik tes IPA yang dikembangkan, dan (2) memaparkan program komputer yang telah dikembangkan dalam menentukan skor tes siswa dengan teori tes modern. Tes IPA terdiri dari 600 butir soal dan telah diujicobakan di SMP se-Solo Raya dengan responden 1.800 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah program R. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif jenis survey. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 270 calon konselor etnis Jawa semester enam dari 11 Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling di Indonesia. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Schmidt-Hidding’s (b. 1903, d. 1967) lexical field study on the area of Humor und Witz [humour and wit/jokes] (1963b) receives attention in humour research to this day, especially in German-speaking countries. His diamond-shaped illustration of the two dimensions of the field of humour, not least in its aim to distinguish “earthy” German from “courteous” English humour, has become well-known. Kebugaran kardiorespirasi memungkinkan aktivitas fisik dalam waktu lama dan memerlukan oksigen untuk mendapatkan energi. Transpor oksigen dimediasi oleh hemoglobin yang terdapat dalam eritrosit. Kebugaran kardiorespirasi dapat diukur berdasarkan nilai VO2max. Metode latihan High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terbukti dapat meningkatkan VO2max. Namun belum jelas apakah peningkatan VO2max diiringi dan berhubungan dengan perubahan nilai hemoglobin, eritrosit dan hematokrit. Penelitian ini mempelajari korelasi perubahan nilai VO2max, hemoglobin, eritrosit dan hematokrit sebelum dan sesudah latihan HIIT selama 8 minggu. This qualitative case study evaluated the effectiveness of the Academic Skills Discussion Group, a new retention intervention targeting undergraduate students on academic probation. This intervention utilized a support group structure to provide social and academic supports to academically-poor students. These supports incorporated didactic educational presentations and interpersonal discussions relating to life change and college expectations. The case comprised one pilot administration of the intervention for three student group members. Twenty participants completed the 2017 Water Leaders Academy bringing the total number of graduates to 101 since the inception of the program in 2011. Assessment of participants’ transformational leadership skills, champion of innovation skills, water knowledge and engagement, civic capacity, and entrepreneurial leadership behaviors showed a significant increase over the course of the year, from both participants’ and their raters’ perspectives. Feedback from participants was highly positive and constructive. Participant concerns were addressed, and only minor changes are planned for the 2018 Academy curriculum. Introduction. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic disease that cause synovialinflammation and progressive destruction to cartilages and deformities. Prevalence of depressionin RA patients is 20 to 30%. Disease activity is considered to have association with depression. This study aims to identify the prevalence of depression in RA patients and the associationbetween disease activity index and depression in RA patients. Methods.
