Nicotine is considered as one of the most toxic substances that can be found in tobacco smoke. Besides being used as a natural insecticide, nicotine is pharmacologically active and has a negative impact on the reproductive system and fertility of males. In contrast, Nigella sativa seeds and oil have a lot of positive properties, such as antipyretic, analgesic, antihypertensive and antineoplastic. Economic lot scheduling problem (ELSP) is related to lot-sizing and scheduling several items in a single production facility. This project addresses the ELSP where multiple items have shelf life restrictions and planned backorders. For some products, shelf life might be less than the production cycle time, which leads to product spoilage before the end of the cycle. In order to achieve a feasible schedule, the production cycle time needs to be reduced to less than or equal to the shelf life duration. Kajian ini mengkaji leksis kata majmuk setara (KMS) bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Cina dari aspek struktur, kategori, makna dan ciri-ciri. Sebanyak 91 leksis KMS bahasa Melayu dan 101 KMS padanan penterjemahan bahasa Cina dipungut sebagai data pilihan. Daripada aspek struktur dan kategori, KMS bahasa Melayu yang dikumpul didapati mempunyai dua belas jenis sementara KMS bahasa Cina mempunyai empat belas jenis. This thesis presents three different liquid valving methods for the centrifugal microfluidic platform, namely vacuum/compression wax valve, passive liquid valve (PLV), and check valve. The mechanism of the proposed valves is simply based on sequencing the liquid flow by controlling air-flow inside the microfluidic network. Specifically, the wax valve and passive liquid valve utilize a volume of trapped air in the source chamber or the destination chamber to control the burst frequency of the liquid. Senescence of neuronal cells reduced the elongation and branching of axons. These lead to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Extracts of selected mushrooms used as folk medicines are being studied, Lignosus rhinocerotis (Cooke) Ryvarden, however has been singled out as one of the most potent mushroom with medicinal properties by communities in Malaysia. This study investigates the role firm characteristics plays in explaining gender wage inequality. Prior research has mainly explored two strands to explain inequality in the labour market. The first, carried out primarily by sociologists and feminists, attempts to explain gender discrimination by showing that females are segregated into lower paying occupations while higher paying occupations are being dominated by males.
