Electromagnetic properties of copper and Fe₅₅Ni₄₅alloy (Permalloy) composite materials have been studied by measuring the relative complex permeability (µ_r = µ_r’– jµ_r”), and permittivity (Σ_r = Σ_r’– jΣ_r”) spectra over the microwave range, as well as the a.c. electrical conductivity σac spectra. The variation of σ_ac and Σ_r with particle content shows the insulator-metal transition due to the percolation effect. The effective cluster model can be applied to the percolation effect in permittivity. The permeability spectra in Permalloy composites, which contain the percolated particles, …

It is well known that the electric field integral equation (EFIE) has the low frequency breakdown problem while the Augmented electric field integral equation (AEFIE) method has the high frequency breakdown issue. To obtain a unified method that works for both low and high frequencies without manual switching of methods, a novel and simple method is proposed in this paper. It uses AEFIE and EFIE to compensate each other iteratively in all frequency regimes to guarantee the accuracy of the solution. An integral equation method based on partial capacitances is used to extract the capacitance between two through-silicon-vias (TSVs). the unrealistic assumption of equal potential along the vertical interface of silicon dioxide (SiO2) coating of TSVs in the analytical method has been removed by introducing unknown equivalent charges. the Galerkin method is used here to solve the unknown charge densities in the integral equation and thus, the capacitance between two TSVs can be efficiently calculated. the results are validated by comparing the extracted capacitances with commercial software based on the finite element method. the accuracy and efficiency have been demonstrated. © …

In modern high performance networking systems, high-speed channels are among the most concerns due to the channel loss, discontinuities and crosstalk as data rate reaches 15 Gbps (Gigabit per second) and above through backplane. Full-wave modeling and system level simulations are widely used to estimate the performance for high-speed channels. Analysis Of Stomach And Gut Microbiomes Of The Eastern Oyster (Crassostrea Virginica) From Coastal Louisiana, Usa, Gary M. King, Craig Judd, Cheryl R. Kuske, Conor Smith

We used high throughput pyrosequencing to characterize stomach and gut content microbiomes of Crassostrea virginica, the Easter oyster, obtained from two sites, one in Barataria Bay (Hackberry Bay) and the other in Terrebonne Bay (Lake Caillou), Louisiana, USA. Stomach microbiomes in oysters from Hackberry Bay were overwhelmingly dominated by Mollicutes most closely related to Mycoplasma; a more rich community dominated by Planctomyctes occurred in Lake Caillou oyster stomachs. Gut communities for oysters from both sites differed from stomach communities, and harbored a relatively diverse assemblage of phylotypes. Following synaptic vesicle exocytosis, neurons retrieve the fused membrane by a process of endocytosis to provide a supply of vesicles for subsequent release and maintain the presynaptic active zone. Rod and cone photoreceptors use a specialized structure called the synaptic ribbon that enables them to sustain high rates of neurotransmitter release. They must also employ mechanisms of synaptic vesicle endocytosis capable of keeping up with release. While much is known about endocytosis at another retinal ribbon synapse, that of the goldfish Mb1 bipolar cell, less is known about endocytosis in photoreceptors. Aims. We present 11 high-precision photometric transitobservations of the transiting super-Earth planet GJ≠1214≠b. Combining these data with observations from other authors, we investigate the ephemeris for possible signs of transit timing variations (TTVs) using a Bayesian approach. Methods. The observations were obtained using telescope-defocusing techniques, and achieve a high precision with random errors in the photometry as low as 1 mmag per point. To investigate the possibility of TTVs in the light curve, we calculate the overall probability of a TTV signal using Bayesian methods. Results. This communication research study identifies the presence of the African-American rhetorical traditions of call-response, signification, tonal semantics, and narrative sequencing used in communication on the online social media network, Twitter. The objective of this study is to provide insight into the culture and community of Twitter. Additionally, the research demonstrates how traditional oral rhetorical traditions survive in the digital world. Over a 15-day period, tweets were collected by the author using a computer screenshot feature. Using a coding rubric, three coders, including the author, coded the collected tweets for the four rhetorical traditions. Resulting from this procedure, the coders concluded …
