Full knowledge of a customer's true unmet need should improve the likelihood of providing that customer with an Option that meets the need. Since there is inherent risk in making any change, that customer will be more likely to accept the risk they more they understand the option. Both the customer and the solution provider possess knowledge that the other needs, knowledge which is often highly contextual and difficult to transfer, and thus a sufficiently close relationship between the customer and the solution provider should improve this knowledge transfer. Studies have mainly focused on strategies to motivate teachers or the student-teacher motivation relationships rather than teacher demotivation in the English as a foreign language (EFL) teaching process, whereas no data have been found on the factors that cause teacher demotivation in the Turkish EFL teaching contexts at the elementary education level. Thus, this study aims to investigate the demotivating factors in EFL teaching at the elementary level. The study was designed as a qualitative case study, and involved face-to-face conversations, MSN talks and a diary maintained by the subject for data collection. Cell migration is a ubiquitous process underlying critical biological mechanisms like wound healing, cancer metastasis and even neuron growth cone motility. It is a critical process for the living organisms as it ensures proper functioning of the system, for example, crawling fibroblasts endure closure of wounds during wound healing. Here we focus our interest on neuron growth cones, a sensory and motile organelle present at the tip of extending neurites, like the axons, in neurons. Small conductance calcium-activated potassium channels (SK) play a fundamental role in synaptic transmission, plasticity, learning and memory (Hammond, 2006; Faber, 2008; Lin et al., 2008) . A very recent study successfully combined single molecule atomic force microscopy (AFM) and toxin pharmacology to quantitatively map SK channels in living neurons (Maciaszek et al., 2012). In addition to localizing native SK channels, this study also showed that SK channel distribution is dynamic with a decrease in SK channel surface expression upon addition of forskolin (FSK), a protein kinase A (PKA) activator. An overview of Chinese naval history is presented to better understand the possible reasons for China’s expansion to the South China Sea. Landscape change is an issue of concern within the Maltese Islands; records of landscape change go back at least 450 years, and the rate of change has been particularly accelerated in recent decades. Notwithstanding the importance of this phenomenon, there have been few attempts to trace out patterns of landscape change over time. This study seeks to develop an understanding of landscape change within rural landscapes, over a period of 400 years. The rhodium carboxamide [Rh2(NPhCOCH3)4]L (L=axial ligand), has applications as a catalyst for carbenoid transformations. To explore the nature of the rhodium-carbene bond, studies between Rh2(NPhCOCH3)4 and nitriles were proposed. Trials of the benzonitrile, o-tolunitrile, and m-tolunitrile have been performed and characterized on the 2,2-trans [Rh2(NPhCOCH3)4] complex via NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.

The objective of this study is to add to the body of research concerning International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). To accomplish this objective, it will examine whether Canada’s adoption of IFRS, which replaced Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), appears to affect the reported financial performance of Canadian public mining companies. Financial information for 2010 from the audited financial statements, as stated under IFRS and Canadian GAAP, were used to compute selected financial ratios. Structure-property quantification of an A36 steel alloy was the focus of this study in order to calibrate and validate a plasticity-damage model. The microstructural parameters included grain size, particle size, particle number density, particle nearest neighbor distances, and percent of ferrite and pearlite. The mechanical property data focused on stress-strain behavior under different applied strain rates (0.001/s, 0.1/s, and 1000/s), different temperatures (293 K and 573 K), and different stress states (compression, tension, and torsion). Truncation errors and computational cost are obstacles that still hinder large-scale applications of the Computational Fluid Dynamics method. The discontinuous Galerkin method is one of the high-order schemes utilized extensively in recent years, which is locally conservative, stable, and high-order accurate. Besides that, it can handle complex geometries and irregular meshes with hanging nodes. In this document, the nondimensional compressible Euler equations and Reynolds- Averaged Navier-Stokes equations are discretized by discontinuous Galerkin methods with a two-equations turbulence model on both structured and unstructured meshes. This study uses social network analysis techniques and theory to examine the network of collaborations that occur in public administration. Social network analysis is a perspective that takes into account the structure of relationships that can exist among individuals, organizations or other entities (Wellman, 2008). This work is a compilation and analysis of ultracool dwarfs (UCDs) and brown dwarfs within 25 parsecs. It supplements the work of Stauffer et al. [2010] who updated the reputable and widely relied upon Third Catalog of Nearby Stars [Gliese & Jahreiß 1991] with revised coordinates and cross-matched each object with the 2MASS point source catalog [Cutri et al. 2003]. I began by incorporating newly discovered (post 1991) cool companions to Gliese-Jahreiß stars that had been previously undetectable. I then expanded the compilation to include isolated UCDs and other nearby systems with at least one UCD component. Multiple systems are …

However easy it may be to do, criminalizing - or less maliciously, categorizing - disability does not make it easier to accommodate. Clumping people with "special needs" together does not meet those needs any more efficiently and labeling those needs as "special" is vague and ineffective. The disabled aren't pegged into their roles for practical reasons, but because of inherited stigmas that are continuously encouraged by institutional policies, popular culture, and art. My thesis is in part an attempt to uncover and articulate a personal and social history of disability. In it I try to puzzle out how misconceptions regarding …
