Perception Of African Youth On Personal Computer Utilization: The Case Of Ethiopia And Rwanda, S. Negash
Perception Of African Youth On Personal Computer Utilization: The Case Of Ethiopia And Rwanda, S. Negash
Faculty Articles
The tendency to pursue innovativeness and adopt new technologies has been found more likely with younger individuals and a strong relationship between attitude and personal computer (PC) utilization has been found. However, research in these areas is mainly focused on high-income countries. Do these findings hold for low-income countries? What are the perceptions of African youth on the factors that impact PC use? There is a dearth of micro-level studies that promote understanding about the behavior of individuals in low-income countries. This study looked at demographic data including age, gender, grade level, region, and prior experience among 228 youth from …

A Blueprint For Buddhist Revolution: The Radical Buddhism Of Seno’O Girō (1889–1961) And The Youth League For Revitalizing Buddhism, James Mark Shields
Faculty Journal Articles

Out On A Wing: Reading Frontier Field, Joseph Price
Out On A Wing: Reading Frontier Field, Joseph Price
Northeast Popular Culture Association
Beyond the seemingly obvious historical, architectural, and situational aspects of a ballpark, what are other dimensions that can be routinely explored or perspectives that can be repeatedly adopted to read a ballpark? Drawing inspiration from Mortimer Adler’s classic How to Read a Book and following the insight of semiologist Christian Metz, who questioned the notion that the meaning of films is transparent, I correspondingly note that a ballpark “is difficult to explain because it is so easy to understand.” Simply, while its design and purpose appear to be forthright—to situate baseball games and to orient fans’ views—a ballpark evades easy …
