Legal Ethics For Inquiring Minds, N. Gregory Smith
Annual Institute on Mineral Law
Every year, there are rule changes, ethics committee opinions, disciplinary cases, and other developments regarding the legal profession that invite the consideration of inquiring minds. Even a sampling of the year's developments, such as the sampling contained in this outline, can rekindle memories of nearly- forgotten lessons, reinforce awareness of traditional concepts, and identify some less-familiar issues that would be good to keep in mind.

Grita. Erga-Se : Colonial Cycles Of Violence In Domestic Labour In Salvador, Bahia, Jessica Nina Pine
Independent Study Project (ISP) Collection
This research analyses the multiple forms of violence that Afro-Brasilian domestic workers in Salvador, Bahia face in their profession, and how the origin of this aggression is rooted in slavery, a colonial tool of oppression. This study also serves to highlight how domestic workers are empowering themselves to change this unjust situation. In order to research this dynamic, I worked with Sindoméstico, a domestic workers union in Salvador.
Through my research, I concluded that the disturbing mentalities of superiority and the false hierarchical binaries that came forth from slavery still exist in modern-day Salvador in the relationship between employer and …

Indiana Law Journal
The past two years have been a period of landmark transformation in legal education. With the issuance of the Carnegie and Best Practices for Legal Education Reports, law schools and law professors have revisited the essential process of analyzing and transforming legal pedagogy. This widespread reexamination of the law school curriculum has yielded two important changes in legal education; first, law schools-including those in the top tier-have begun radically to amend their curricular goals and structures; and, second, legal scholars have begun to turn their attention to the theory and implementation of better legal education. As Carnegie and Best Practices …
