SANAsms or Short Messaging System (SMS) Encryption System is as application on mobile phone that enables to send, receive and store encrypted text messages. Users are able to exchange sensitive messages using SMS because the message is in an encrypted and a protected form, which it is hard for the attacker or non-authorize person to read the messages. As a result, the system makes the confidential data in SMS text become safer and secure in such case of the device lost or stolen. Businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies regularly compile and maintain electronic databases of information about individuals who interact with these institutions. This article presents an analysis of civil liability for failure to safeguard confidential information. It focuses on the situation where a database owner failed to patch a computer security vulnerability which facilitated compromise of sensitive information. In a civil action against a database owner, foreseeability of exploitation of the vulnerability at issue is a key element of the liability analysis. The French Expeditionary Corps that fought in Italy during World War II was a French army, but that description must be qualified. Therefore this thesis asks two questions: how did France manage to send the equivalent of an army to Italy if French military leadership in 1943 had no direct access to French manpower resources; and the most important question since it is unique to the historical debate, why were the troops that were sent to Italy so effective once there when compared to the 1940 French army? In this paper, a new nonlinear H 1 control technique, called μ¡D H 1 method, is employed to design a missile longitudinal autopilot. The μ ¡D H 1 design has the same structure as that of linear H 1 , except that the two Riccati equations that are part of the solution process are state dependent. The μ ¡D technique yields suboptimal solutions to nonlinear optimal control problems in the sense that it provides an approximate solution to the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation. Missile intercept systems used in the next generation missile defense system will require extremely accurate performance of all component systems. Such systems will need to guarantee successful intercept of highly maneuvering targets. as a result, such interceptor systems require much greater performance in its guidance, control, and estimation subsystems. in order to develop systems that meet the required accuracies, integrated guidance and control (IGC) systems are currently being studied. In this article I explore the ethical and legal implications of enrolling individuals with disorders of consciousness (DOC) in neuroimaging research studies. Many scientists have strongly emphasized the need for additional neuroimaging research into DOC, characterizing the conduct of such studies as morally imperative. On the other hand, institutional review boards (IRBs) charged with approving research protocols, scientific journals deciding whether to publish study results, and federal agencies that disburse grant money have limited the conduct, publication, and funding of consciousness investigations based on ethical and legal concerns. Journal of International Technology and Information Management

Spyware poses a serious threat of privacy infringement to unassuming internet users across the globe. Existing European legislation attempts to protect end-users from unethical review and use of their personal data. Outlawing spyware technology and strengthening the legal consent requirement for data- mining may offer end users additional assurances that their privacy rights are upheld, as well as more tangible shelter from the existing spyware epidemic. These proposed solutions, however, will only create successful safe havens for internet users by obtaining international buy-in.

Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry For The Analysis Of Collected Bioaerosols, Alton John Dugas

The goal of this dissertation was to demonstrate collection, detection and identification of microorganisms from bioaerosols using offline matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) for the analysis of proteins. MALDI-MS intact bacteria techniques were adapted for use with an orthogonal MALDI quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Results indicate the instrument is capable of analyzing intact whole-cells. The first phase was to evaluate three bioaerosol samplers, an Andersen N6 single-stage impactor (AI), a cyclone impactor, and a vacuum filter system. The samplers collected test bioaerosols using a constructed bioaerosol exposure chamber (BEC). The BEC allowed all three samplers to operate in parallel. Each …

Preliminary research isolated a set of thirteen candidate principles that military officers need to understand to conduct effective and humane counterinsurgency. A meta-synthesis of eight classical theorists of counterinsurgency sought support for and consensus on these principles and discovered considerable consensus on all of them. Therefore, this set could be considered a “classical” model of counterinsurgency for use in counterinsurgency campaign planning. Franz Boas proposed almost one hundred yeas ago that cranial plasticity explained the differences in cranial form between European-born immigrants and their American-born children. Plasticity refers to the idea that the body responds to environmental forces during growth and development. If the environment does affect cranial growth and development, than differences should be seen in populations living under different ecological conditions. In this study anthropometric measurements will be used to test for differences in head and face measurements of members of the Blackfeet Nation using multivariate statistics. We model and analyze antagonistic stochastic games of three players, two of whom form a coalition against the third one. The actions of the players are modeled by random walk processes recording the cumulative damages to each player at any moment of time. The game continues until the single player or the coalition is defeated. The defeat of any particular player takes place when the associated process (representing the collateral damage) crosses a fixed threshold. Colour symbolism permeated the world of indigenous North America. This symbolism was often tied to the cosmos where the earth was viewed as a quadrilateral disk and each of the four cardinal directions was linked with a colour array such as red, white, black, and blue. We suggest that the recurring use of certain colours and colour contrasts comprised a suite of long-term historical practices that were essential for reproducing certain views about the world and about being in the world. This Article compares the unequal treatment of posthumous procreation in Africa and in the Western world within the contexts of jurisprudence and human rights discourse. Though customary law recognizes the legality of posthumous procreation in many parts of Africa, courts and international human rights advocates have condemned the practice as repugnant to public policy, public morality, and public health. The fact that comparable processes in the West have been ignored or even promoted suggests a double standard in human rights discourse, perhaps even an attempt to delegitimize non-Western customs while imposing Western values on non-Western societies.
