The author of more than twenty volumes of poetry, over twenty plays, two novels, and three collections of essays, Michael McClure is one of the most prolific and enduring figures to emerge from the Beat movement. As one of the five poets to begin his career at the Six Gallery reading in 1955, the reading which launched the Beat movement, he shares a long and rich history with Allen Ginsberg, Philip Whalen, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Gary Snyder, Philip Lamantia, and many other writers of San Francisco’s Beat period.

Does The Constitutional Right To Privacy Protect Forced Disclosure Of Sexual Orientation, Anne C. Hydorin
UC Law Constitutional Quarterly
After the Supreme Court's holding in Bowers v. Hardwick, the Third and Fourth Circuits were split over whether Bowers impliedly extended to forced disclosure of sexual orientation and private homosexual activity. This Note argues that Bowers does not protect forced disclosure of sexual orientation and that the Constitution protects our right to "be let alone" and preserves expected matters of confidentiality from unwarranted government intrusion. In other words, certain private matters must be beyond the unfettered reach of the state. Permitting the government to force an individual to disclose his or her sexual orientation offends this privacy jurisprudence. The Note …

Multijurisdictional Practice For A Multijurisdictional Profession, Susan Poser

The issue of multijurisdictional practice concerns whether and to what extent lawyers can practice law in states in which they are not licensed. Under current law in Nebraska and almost every other state, it may be a violation of both the ethics rules and state law for a lawyer not licensed in that state to engage in activity that constitutes the practice of law, even on a temporary basis. This is law that is no longer practical or necessary and Nebraska should now consider modifying it. In August 2002 the ABA adopted revised Model Rule 5.5. This revised Model Rule …
