Enhancing Students’ Self-Confidence From Disharmonious Families Through Group Guidance With Sociodrama Technique, Drajat Edy Kurniawan, Almadia Qosita Janah Saputri

Buletin Konseling Inovatif

Adolescence is a developmental phase full of challenges, particularly for students from disharmonious family backgrounds who are vulnerable to low self-confidence. This study aims to enhance students’ self-confidence through group guidance services using the sociodrama technique at a public junior high school in Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The subjects consisted of six eighth-grade students identified as coming from disharmonious families and having low self-confidence. The instrument used was a self-confidence scale that included indicators of belief in one’s abilities, courage to express opinions, and ability to face challenges. Data were analyzed using …

Enhancing Peacebuilding For Integral Human Development: Caritas Good Practices And Lessons Learnt, - Caritas Internationalis

The Journal of Social Encounters

Today’s geopolitical context, with big powers choosing bilateralism over multilateralism, is fostering a proliferation of conflicts and violence throughout the globe. The Caritas Confederation has been working actively for peacebuilding for decades, especially since the Rwanda genocide in 1994. Indeed, there is a growing consensus within the Confederation supporting the urgent need to enhance peacebuilding efforts globally. This document explores best practices and lessons learnt, with a strategic focus on the importance of involving women in peacebuilding. Each best practice is illustrated by one or two projects implemented by Caritas Member Organisations.

The Origins Of The Pax Christi International Movement: The Pax Christi In Regno Christi Crusade, François Mabille Sep 2025

The Origins Of The Pax Christi International Movement: The Pax Christi In Regno Christi Crusade, François Mabille

The Journal of Social Encounters

The Pax Christi movement was created in 1944 by a French laywoman. Its original name was "crusade of prayers for the conversion of Germany", the term crusade referring to a very specific political and religious imagination, marked in particular by the intransigent Catholicism of the beginning of the 20th century and by a specious analysis of the origins of the Nazism. This article, resulting from a thesis devoted to the history of the movement from 1944 to 1983, reviews the genesis of Pax Christi, and its evolution during the first 5 years of its existence, from a "crusade of prayers" …

Innovative Leadership For Success Among Bipoc And First-Generation Students, Jennifer L. Saylor, Jennifer S. Graber, Elizabeth Speakman

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Background: The literature review reveals that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and first-generation college (FGC) students need more support during their college transition. Barriers to success include feeling uncomfortable seeking help while under stress, which can stem from racist attitudes on campus, feeling isolated, and the rigor of the nursing curricula that are often immediately pushed on BIPOC and FGC students.

Purpose: The Connecting Future Caregivers Program (CFCP) was developed to facilitate community-building and enhance academic success strategies, without positioning faculty and staff as benevolent authorities providing knowledge to BIPOC and FGC nursing students,

Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional …

Mentoring To Answer Applied Research Questions And Develop A Clinician-Researcher Career Pathway, Eamon Merrick, Claire Harris, Kathleen Baird, Christine Catling, Anna Williams, Margaret Fry

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Aim: To develop a research mentoring program that has a measurable impact on clinical outcomes and create a career pathway for nurses and midwives.

Background: Nurse-led research and innovation are key to improving health experiences and outcomes and reducing health inequalities. Yet nurses and midwives are underrepresented in the leadership of research (Eckert et al., 2023). We present a partnership between university and government-funded health services (the Health District) to provide mentoring for nurses and midwives to lead research. The Health District employs approximately 6,000 nurses and midwives who care for over one million people in a region greater than …

We examine the relationship between market performance of leading cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin and Ethereum), meme-stocks (AMC, GameStop), and subjects of corporate boycotts (Bud Light) using weekly market price and volume data along with social media data of weekly mentions (which total 337 million in this dataset) and net sentiment. Using vector autoregression (VAR) time series analysis along with Granger causality testing and structural breaks, we successfully predict trade volume of these various assets using social media data and price data. We also find that closing price data and trade volume are reliable predictors of net sentiment about crypto in online and …

Will Anyone Play With Me? Building Resilience Through Community Play With Transgender And Gender Diverse Young Adults, Lee Lebeda Sep 2025

Will Anyone Play With Me? Building Resilience Through Community Play With Transgender And Gender Diverse Young Adults, Lee Lebeda

Expressive Therapies Theses

The recent increase in anti-trans legislature in the United States has negatively impacted the mental health of transgender young adults nationwide. Current research suggests that creative expression in a group setting may be uniquely suited to help transgender people combat the negative mental health effects of internalized anti-trans messaging. Based on this research, a community engagement project was designed for transgender young adult participants to explore resilience building through drama therapy-informed community play. Three play-based support groups, facilitated by a drama therapy graduate student who identified as a peer to the participants, were offered to transgender young adults in their …

Designing Childhood Spaces: Towards An Architecture That Responds To The Child’S Innate Needs And Enhances Interaction, Abdelrahman Mohamed Mousa Sep 2025

Designing Childhood Spaces: Towards An Architecture That Responds To The Child’S Innate Needs And Enhances Interaction, Abdelrahman Mohamed Mousa

Journal of Engineering Research

: The creation of a building for children is no longer just a shelter, but rather a spatial unit for 2020, a diverse and generally direct difference in building the child's personality, which limits the strengthening of control over the child on the one hand, and the direction in which he lives. It is a loud cry, one that is diverse: children have realized us, and the reference to the cry is that we find ourselves participating in dealing properly with children and also in society years later. It is believed that attention to children during the preschool stage significantly …
