Droplet formation is a common phenomenon that occurs in liquid-liquid or liquid-gas two-phase flows where turbulent mixing is present. This study considers only liquid-liquid systems and presents the theoretical background and validation of a droplet formation and entrainment (DFE) model with application to stratified shear layer flows of diesel fuel and water. A parallel experimental study by Wu and Katz (1999) of the same flow is used as a guide in our analysis. It is time to return to the framing question: what do Type I and Type I expropriations tell us about the contentious Type II takings issues? Type I disruptions show how certain kinds of expropriation are necessarily built into a property regime; they make the regime itself function. Type III disruptions are at the other extreme: they are expropriations that occur not from the logic of a property regime, but rather because some people, rightly or wrongly, are not deemed to be participants in the property regime at all. The purpose of this project was to research authentic instruction and assessment. After analyzing the results of a literature review, a unit on the United States Constitution was rewritten to include these two concepts. Current literature confirms that students are better prepared for life if teachers use techniques that bring the subject to life for the student. In order for teachers to successfully use authentic instruction, the focus needs to be on the assessment component.

The subject of this thesis is the transformation of the urban fabric in Siena at the time of early 20th century Italian Fascism. The investigation focuses on the transformation of the neighborhood of Salicotto, formerly known as the Jewish Ghetto, that began with the removal of inhabitants to the periphery of the city, the neighborhoods of Ravacciano and Valli and subsequent Sventramento, 'disembowelment' demolition of housing and urban fabric. The rubble from the demolished housing was transported to Campo del Rastrello and used as fill for a new stadium. The process continued with the replacement of the original housing …
