The Anchor, Volume 113.22: April 5, 2000, Hope College
The Anchor: 2000
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Fiber-Optic High Temperature Sensor, Nicholas I. Djeu
Fiber-Optic High Temperature Sensor, Nicholas I. Djeu
USF Patents
A crystalline structure, comprising an optical waveguiding region, a crystalline fluorescent temperature sensing region, and a crystalline junction between the optical waveguiding region and the crystalline fluorescent temperature sensing region. An embodiment of the present invention is a novel fiber-optic temperature sensor functional under high-temperature conditions. The fiber-optic temperature sensor comprises a continuous crystalline fiber optic high temperature sensor probe having a crystalline optical waveguiding region with first and second ends, and a crystalline fluorescent temperature sensing tip at one end thereof. The crystalline optical waveguiding region and the crystalline fluorescent temperature sensing tip are preferably crystallographically and thermomechanically compatible …
Anti-Gag Cytolytic T Lymphocytes Specific For An Alternative Translational Reading Frame-Derived Epitope And Resistance Versus Susceptibility To Retrovirus-Induced Murine Aids In F1 Mice, Shawn-Marie Mayrand, Patricia A. Healy, Bruce E. Torbett, William R. Green
Anti-Gag Cytolytic T Lymphocytes Specific For An Alternative Translational Reading Frame-Derived Epitope And Resistance Versus Susceptibility To Retrovirus-Induced Murine Aids In F1 Mice, Shawn-Marie Mayrand, Patricia A. Healy, Bruce E. Torbett, William R. Green
Dartmouth Scholarship
Murine AIDS (MAIDS) develops in susceptible mouse strains after infection with the LP-BM5 murine leukemia virus complex that contains causative defective, and ecotropic helper, retroviruses. We previously demonstrated that the MAIDSresistant H-2d strains BALB/cByJ and C57BL/KsJ generate MHC class I (Kd ) restricted virus-specific CD81 cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that lyse cells expressing either defective or ecotropic gag proteins. In contrast, the congenic BALB.B and closely related C57BL/6J MAIDS-susceptible H-2b strains were unable to serve as a source of gag-specific CTLs (Schwarz and Green, 1994), suggesting that anti-gag CTLs might provide a basis for resistance to MAIDS. Although its susceptibility …

Univercity News (2000-04-03)
UniverCity News, 1998-2001
VCU Today, the University’s first official administrative organ, began as a somewhat irregular monthly publication but moved to a bi-weekly newspaper format in the 1980s. The newspaper changed its name to VCU Voice in 1988 and ten years later it appeared under the title UniverCity News. As it neared the end of its run as a physical newspaper, the publication became simply VCU News. These four publications were essentially the same periodical published under different titles by the Office of University Relations. VCU News appeared online for the first time in 2002.
