However, repair processes need not be fully effective. Inadequate repair can take a number of forms and may result in metaplasia, hyperplasia or fibrotic scarring. It is likely that repair processes that lead to tissue disruption play an important role in the chronic airways diseases, such as asthma and bronchitis. Through delineation of these processes, it may become feasible to target …

The Arbitral Imperative In Labor & Employment Law, Roberto L. Corrada Jan 1998

The Arbitral Imperative In Labor & Employment Law, Roberto L. Corrada

Sturm College of Law: Faculty Scholarship

For the better part of this decade, labor law scholars have turned their attention increasingly to labor law reform. And for good reason. Private sector unionization has fallen from a high of forty percent in the mid-1950s to a low of about eleven percent today. Many reasons—ranging from employer resistance to unionization to union inability to organize in the Sunbelt—explain this decline. La Pine North: Two Futures, Deborah A. Howe, William A. Rabiega Jan 1998

La Pine North: Two Futures, Deborah A. Howe, William A. Rabiega

Center for Urban Studies Publications and Reports

This paper provides a vision of how accommodating such high growth may affect one rural residential area of the county, La Pine North. It will first draw a profile of La Pine North as it exists currently. Then, two possible futures for that space and its residents will be depicted. These futures represent the minimal and the most radical responses to the present and intensifying problem of nitrate/nitrogen pollution of ground water in the area. The "Restricted Growth" scenario assumes that the only response to the pollution problem will be the requirement of sand filter septic systems for replacement and …

Theses Digitization Project

This project entitled A story, a story: a neighborhood performing arts project, focused on transforming a chosen piece of children's literature into a live performance. It was a process driven project which did not solely focus on the final production. Within this project I decided to use the conceptual framework as a basis for teaching drama and movement instead of the rote method of learning.
