Theses
The purpose of the thesis is to explore opposites, such as natural forms contrasted with manmade forms, in order to portray the coexistence of nature and man. In addition, I hope to seek natural and unique combinations and contrasts of realism and abstraction. I wish to combine realistic images and fantasy images with symbols and patterns.

A Longitudinal Study Of The Career Maturity Patterns Of Individuals With Clefts, Joyce Johnson Anderson
A Longitudinal Study Of The Career Maturity Patterns Of Individuals With Clefts, Joyce Johnson Anderson
Dissertations and Theses
This longitudinal study sought to examine career maturity, and the variables thought to influence career maturity, in a sample of individuals with the congenital craniofacial anomaly of clefting by following them from adolescence (ages 14 to 18) into young adulthood (ages 22 to 26).
Sixteen subjects (6 males, 10 females) during adolescence and in young adulthood completed (a) a biographical questionnaire which provided educational and occupational information, (b) the Career Development Inventory, (c) the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale, (d) the Shipley Institute of Living Scale, and (e) self-ratings of speech and facial appearance acceptability to provide information concerning career maturity, mental …

Chern-Simons States In Spin-Network Quantum Gravity, Rodolfo Gambini, Jorge Griego, Jorge Pullin
Chern-Simons States In Spin-Network Quantum Gravity, Rodolfo Gambini, Jorge Griego, Jorge Pullin
Faculty Publications
In the context of canonical quantum gravity in terms of Ashtekar's new variables, it is known that there exists a state that is annihilated by all the quantum constraints and that is given by the exponential of the Chern-Simons form constructed with the Asthekar connection. We make a first exploration of the transform of this state into the spin-network representation of quantum gravity. The discussion is limited to trivalent nets with planar intersections. We adapt an invariant of tangles to construct the transform and study the action of the Hamiltonian constraint on it. We show that the first two coefficients …

Complete-Range Activity-Based Rtl Power Estimation, Nur Kurt-Karsilayan
Complete-Range Activity-Based Rtl Power Estimation, Nur Kurt-Karsilayan
Dissertations and Theses
In recent years, power consumption has become a major concern in the electronic industry. Power reduction can be accelerated in the design cycle by fast and accurate power estimation tools. Since the units of lower-levels of design abstraction are transistors or gates, power estimation becomes a slow process at these levels. Therefore designers need to have tools for fast and accurate power estimation at the higher levels of design abstraction such as register transfer level (RTL).
A novel RTL power estimation technique called CRAB-RPE will be presented in this thesis. The CRAB power model is built upon four important properties …
