Documents from the State of Texas-Archive
This report presents a process for identifying emerging and significantly evolving occupations within key Texas industries and explains our research findings to date. The goal of the project is to provide a current information resource to help students and adult job-seekers make informed career and training choices. In particular, this report targets individuals who plan to pursue an associate degree, skill certification, or an alternative training program other than a four-year baccalaureate degree. Throughout the course of this year we identified thirteen key industries in Texas promising employment growth and good job quality. Within these thirteen industries we identified thirty-six …

The Summer 1996 issue of the Alaska Justice Forum presents several articles on legal resources, both criminal and civil, available to Alaskans with low incomes, describing services provided by the Alaska Public Defender's office and Alaska Legal Services Corporation; criteria for determining indigency when assigning public counsel in Alaska; a 1996 amendment to Alaska's Public Defender Act; criminal defense services for low income people throughout the United States; and tort reform efforts in Alaska and nationwide which may result in decreased access to the courts for individuals with low incomes.
