For many years, viscoelastic materials have been used in damping treatments to control vibration. In order to optimize a damping treatment for maximum damping, a design engineer must be able to predict frequencies of vibration of damped normal modes and loss factors as a function of the design parameters. Theoretical models of layered beams have been developed, but to date, exact solutions have assumed boundary conditions to be the same for all layers. The introduction of two-beam coupling in photorefractive materials has resulted in an extensive amount of research into their use as optical processing/computing elements. This dissertation develops the theoretical equations for two-beam coupling in barium titanate as an optical amplifier. One of the factors which limits the optical gain in photorefractive crystals is the loss of pump beam power to the amplification of parasitic light (beam fanning). This parasitic light is produced by light scattered from the pump beam by imperfections on both the crystal face and within the crystal. The Fourier transform is investigated as a means for developing an optical reader capable of reading a large vocabulary without segmenting the image of a word into individual characters. The reader is capable of reading printed and cursive font styles, is scale invariant, and is substantially insensitive to noise. The image of a particular word is treated as a single symbol; the two dimensional low frequency Fourier coefficients (assuming n coefficients are calculated) define the word's location on an n dimensional hypersphere of unit radius. Accurate interpretation and maximum use of multispectral data acquired from spaceborne and aircraft instruments require increased knowledge and understanding of the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) of earth scene elements. Knowledge of the relationships between the spectral characteristics and important parameters of earth surface features can best be obtained by carefully controlled studies over areas, fields or plots where complete data describing the condition of targets is attainable and where frequent, timely spectral measurements can be made. For remote sensing applications, there is a need for knowledge concerning the reflectance properties of natural and man-made materials as a function of measurement geometry and wavelength. This information is used to determine the so-called bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF). This study is intended to generate an absolute bidirectional reflectance factor for BRDF studies. This is accomplished by development of a goniospectroradiometer which can simulate any source-sensor-target geometry. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of a parent training program, "FACTS," by: (1) increasing the parents' perceived ability to participate in the special education process of their child as an active participant, and (2) lowering the level of stress experienced as they interact with the educational system of their children.

This study involved an experimental group consisting of 26 parents who received the parent training program and a control group consisting of 24 parents who did not receive the parent training program. Both groups completed pre- and post-test measures. The instruments used for this measure …

William Langer is firmly established as a legend in North Dakota history. The legend began during his controversial terms as attorney general (1916-1920) and governor (1932-1934 and 1936-1938). A maverick in the United States Senate after his election to the upper chamber in 1940, admirers saw him as a civil libertarian and a defender of the "common man." The loyalty and devotion of his constituents increased over the years because of his willingness to do favors for them and because of his considerable campaign skills. Picture Viewing As A Test Of Attention To Food And Body Image Cues In Restrained Versus Nonrestrained Eaters, Sally Rose Brinza

Restrained eaters, those who chronically and severely restrict food intake in order to lose weight, are thought to exhibit thoughts and behaviors similar to those seen in semi-starved and eating disordered (bulimic and anorexic) individuals. A paradoxical tendency to overeat once food restraint is disinhibited has been noted in restrainers. Food and body weight preoccupation and hyperresponsiveness to external food cues have been hypothesized to occur in restrained individuals; however the literature reports conflicting results and these factors have not been thoroughly investigated. Cognitive factors which differentiate restrained eaters from nonrestrained eaters may affect information processing.

ทำการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบผลการตรวจสอบคุณภาพวัคซีนป้องกันโรคออเจสกี้เชื้อตายชนิดน้ำมัน 4 ชนิด ได้แก่ สับยูนิตวัคซีนผลิตจากเชื้อท้องที่สเตรนนครปฐมหนึ่งตัวอย่าง สับยูนิตวัคซีนสเตรน Kojnock นำเข้าจากต่างประเทศหนึ่งตัวอย่าง วัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน DSV-35 นำเข้าจากต่างประเทศหนึ่งตัวอย่าง และวัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน Yaun-Lin นำเข้าจากต่างประเทศหนึ่งตัวอย่าง วัคซีนทั้ง 4 ชนิดผ่านการตรวจสอบความปราศจากเชื้อแบคทีเรียหรือราปนเปื้อน วัคซีน 3 ชนิดแรกมีสภาพความคงตัวของออยล์อิมัลชั่นดีกว่า 3 วัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน Yaun-Lin วัคซีนทั้ง 4 ชนิดมีความปลอดภัยต่อกระต่ายและสุกรและสามารถกระตุ้นให้เกิดภูมิคุ้มกันต่อไวรัสโรคออเจสกี้สเตรนนครปฐม โดยวัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน DSV-35 สามารถกระตุ้นระดับนิวตรอลไลซิ่งแอนติบอดี้ในกระต่ายได้สูงที่สุด ในขณะ ที่วัคซีนอีก 3 ชนิดสามารถกระตุ้นระดับนิวตรอลไลซิ่งแอนติบอดี้ได้ใกล้เคียงกัน เมื่อเปรียบเทียบค่า Protective dose-50 (PD50) วัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน DSV-35 และวัคซีนเชื้อ Yaun-Lin มีประสิทธิภาพให้ความคุ้มโรคในกระต่ายได้สูงกว่าสับยูนิตวัคซีนทั้ง วัคซีนเชื้อตายสเตรน DSV-35 สามารถกระตุ้นระดับนิวตรอลไลซิ่งแอนติบอดี้ใน สุกรได้สูงกว่าวัคซีนอีก 3 ชนิด สำหรับสับยูนิตวัคซีนที่ผลิตจากเชื้อท้องที่สเตรนนครปฐม สามารถกระตุ้นระดับนิวตรอลไลซิ่งแอนติบอดี้ในสุกรได้สูงกว่าสับยูนิตวัคซีนสเตรน Kojnock ซึ่งนำเข้าจากต่างประเทศ การฉีดวัคซีนสองครั้งสามารถกระตุ้นระดับนิวตรอลไลซิ่งแอนติบอดี้ได้สูงกว่าการฉีดวัคซีนเพียงครั้งเดียว สุกรที่ฉีดวัคซีนทุกตัวมีความต้านทานต่อการฉีดพิษ ทับด้วยไวรัสโรคออเจสสเตรนนครปฐมในขนาด 10 TCID50 ในขณะที่สุกรในกลุ่มควบคุม แสดงอาการเป็นโรคอย่างเฉียบพลันหลังฉีดพิษทับ วัคซีนทั้ง 4 ชนิดผ่านการทดสอบคุณภาพ

ประสิทธิภาพของยาถ่ายพยาธิปิปเปอราซินไดฮัยโดรคลอไรด์ต่อพยาธิไส้เดือนในไก่ไข่บนกรงตับ, มานพ ม่วงใหญ่, สมชาย วรวงษ์วิวัฒน์

ฟาร์มไก่ไข่แห่งหนึ่งที่เลี้ยงโดยใช้ระบบกรงตับที่มีความสูง 2 ระดับ ประสพปัญหาการเกิดโรคพยาธิไส้เดือน หลังจากที่ไก่ขึ้นบนกรงที่ตับแล้วนานกว่า 15 เดือน ทั้งในแถวบนและแถวล่าง ทำการรักษาโดยใช้ปิบเปอราชินไดฮัยโดรคลอไรด์ผสมในอาหารใน ขนาด 125 มก. ปิบเปอราในเบสต่อน้ำหนักตัว 1 กก. หลังจากให้ยาแล้วพยาธิถูกขับออก จากกรงแถวบนและล่าง 91.94% และ 76.92% โดยมีพยาธิเฉลี่ย 1.90 และ 3.40 ตัว ต่อไก่ 1 ตัว ตามลำดับ จากนั้นได้ทำการตรวจอุจจาระจากไก่ในกรุงทั้ง 2 แถว พบไข่พยาธิหลังจากให้ยา 32 วัน ซึ่งไข่พยาธิที่ตรวจพบนี้คงจะเจริญมาจากพยาธิที่ยังไม่ได้เป็นตัว เต็มวัย และไม่ได้ถูกขับออกโดยยาถ่ายพยาธิ หรือพยาธิตัวอ่อนที่ฝังตัวอยู่ในผนังลำไส้ เคลื่อนตัวออกมาจากผนังลำไส้ แล้วเจริญเป็นพยาธิตัวแก่ในภายหลัง มากกว่าที่จะเป็นการ ติดโรคหลังจากให้ยาถ่ายพยาธิแล้ว หลังจากนั้นจำนวนกรงที่พบไข่พยาธิจะมีเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ซึ่งในระยะหลังนี้อาจจะมีการติดโรคใหม่เกิดขึ้นได้ จึงทำการถ่ายพยาธิด้วยยาชนิดเดิม ในขนาดที่ให้เช่นเดียวกับครั้งแร แรกอีกครั้ง โดยให้ยาห่างจากครั้งแรก 70 วันพบว่ามี พยาธิถูกขับออกมาจากกรงแถวบนและล่างเป็น 48.28% และ 58.33% มีพยาธิเฉลี่ย 0.79 และ 1.43 ตัวต่อไก่ 1 ตัวตามลำดับ จากผลดังกล่าวแสดงว่า ปิบเปอราชินไดฮัยโดรคลอไรด์ในขนาด 125 มก.ต่อน้ำหนัก 1 กก. สามารถขับพยาธิตัวแก่ได้ดี แต่จะไม่สามารถขับพยาธิตัวอ่อนออกได้หมด และยาชนิดนี้ในขนาดดังกล่าวไม่ทำให้ไก่แสดงอาการ แพ้ให้เห็นแต่ประการใด
