"The geology of the Rolla quadrangle was mapped by Lee in 1912. At that time all the dolomitic strata above the Roubidoux and beneath the Carboniferous formations in this area were placed in the Jefferson City. A more detailed study of the stratigraphy of the whole Ozark region by Ulrich has shown that some of the strata which had been included in the Jefferson City formation on lithologic grounds are not equivalent to the dolomites in the type section at Jefferson City, Missouri"--Introduction, page [1].

"A search of the literature for data on the solubilities of inorganic salts in various anhydrous alcohols will show that comparatively little work has been recorded. Most of the work has been done on salts in aqueous normal alcohols and practically all of this data concerns only methyl and ethyl alcohols. This information shows a wide divergence in results with different workers. Perhaps these differences in data may be attributed to an error in that the alcohols may not have been absolutely anhydrous, for even small traces of water greatly affect the solubility of the salts. "The purpose of this investigation was to ascertain whether the more important iron ores of Missouri would be amenable to beneficiation to produce high grade concentrates. In the southeastern section of Missouri are found many small deposits of high grade iron ores, and a few large deposits of comparatively low grade ore. "Investigations have shown that the iodine content of vegetables, water, and soils has a direct relationship to the goiter incidence of a given region. A few countries, notably New Zealand and Switzerland have made a rather complete survey. In the United States, South Carolina has made the most progress in this direction.

In this thesis I have endeavored to give a chronological estimate and interpretation of Eugene O’Neill’s plays as well as nearly in the order of their writing as possible. I have incorporated in this article only those of O’Neill’s plays which I have read and studied thoroughly, giving first a brief summary and then a criticism of each. These include all except eight of O’Neill’s printed plays. Five of the eight are Thirst, The Web, Warnings, Fog, and Recklessness, which were printed in 1914 under the title of Thirst and Other One-Act Plays by Eugene C. O’Neill. However, O’Neill has …

In this short discussion of an instance often referred to as a "splendid vindication" of the Monroe Doctrine, the author intends to give as impartial a treatment of the problem chosen as human limitations permit. The Monroe Doctrine during the French Intervention in Mexico and during the Civil War was, contrary to the assertions of some American historians, a dead letter.
