Generating Affective Metadata From Physiological Signals For Media Navigation, Nikita Agarwal
Generating Affective Metadata From Physiological Signals For Media Navigation, Nikita Agarwal
Defensive Publications Series
Navigating long-form media to locate scenes of a particular emotional intensity may be inefficient using conventional methods that rely on static thumbnails or broad metadata. Disclosed systems and methods can generate crowd-sourced affective metadata from physiological signals. These techniques may involve collecting anonymized physiological data, such as heart rate, from a population of consenting users via their computing devices (e.g., a smartphone, smart watch, wearable device, augmented reality glasses, etc.) during media consumption. This data can be processed and aggregated to generate a time-series representation of the collective emotional intensity for a media asset. The resulting data may then be …
Quantum Entanglement Service Assurance And Intent Orchestration For Heterogeneous Quantum Networks, Bharat Kumar Putta
Quantum Entanglement Service Assurance And Intent Orchestration For Heterogeneous Quantum Networks, Bharat Kumar Putta
Defensive Publications Series
Proposed herein are techniques to turn a heterogeneous quantum network into a controller-managed, intent-driven entanglement service that can support delivery of entanglement between quantum endpoints under specified statistical service objectives. A controller can compile quantum service requests into modality-aware paths, generate a time-bounded and evidence-based readiness assessment without measuring application qubits or entangled pairs allocated to the protected service, infer degradation risk from classical telemetry and quantum-derived observations obtained through protocol-required heralding measurements or measurements of separate calibration or test resources, and apply policy-bounded remediation to subsequent service attempts. Because entanglement generation and quality estimation are probabilistic, the assessment provides …
Arbitrating Playback And Logging For Co-Watching Sessions, Nikita Agarwal
Arbitrating Playback And Logging For Co-Watching Sessions, Nikita Agarwal
Defensive Publications Series
Managing co-watching sessions may present difficulties when one user becomes inactive while others remain engaged, as continuing playback could create an inaccurate viewing history for the inactive user, while pausing could disrupt the session for active users. Systems and methods are described that can arbitrate playback by evaluating an inactivity signal from one user's device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or smart television, against countervailing activity signals from other session participants' devices. If playback continues, a split-state logging mechanism can decouple individual viewing histories, for example, by pausing the viewing progress record for the inactive user while continuing to update …
Quantum Job Placement And Circuit Partitioning With Network-Aware Error Budget Brokerage, Bharat Kumar Putta
Quantum Job Placement And Circuit Partitioning With Network-Aware Error Budget Brokerage, Bharat Kumar Putta
Defensive Publications Series
Proposed herein is a system including a distributed quantum compiler and controller that can decide where to place quantum circuit fragments by brokering a live error budget across quantum processing unit (QPU) compute operations, quantum memory wait time, remote entanglement, measurement, and classical-control latency. Instead of only minimizing circuit cuts, queue time, or network cost, the system creates an auditable Error Budget Contract and Placement Proof showing why a distributed execution plan is expected to satisfy a job’s end-to-end accuracy target. If QPU calibration, queue depth, or quantum-network fidelity changes, the system can automatically re-evaluate the plan and, where execution …
Technical Commonspec: Multi-Phase Sedimentation And Capillary Infiltration Metrics For Monolithic Material Manufacturing, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Commonspec: Multi-Phase Sedimentation And Capillary Infiltration Metrics For Monolithic Material Manufacturing, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification formalizes a multi-track engineering framework to validate and optimize two verified, classical physical processes used in advanced material manufacturing: Dual-Phase Centrifugal Sedimentation and Capillary Infiltration. In standard chemical engineering and metallurgical processing, modeling the structural consolidation of dense particulate suspensions and the subsequent penetration of liquid phases into porous matrices presents significant numerical and physical tracking challenges. If fluid-particle interactions are modeled using uncoupled, single-variable frameworks, localized density spikes and pressure friction variations create manufacturing defects and structural voids.
To deliver an absolute, un-biased verification of these manufacturing dynamics, this paper presents three completely air-gapped, isolated methodologies executed …
Technical Commonspec: Parallel Solutions To The Prandtl Boundary Layer Limit Crisis Via Tri-Vector Architectures, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Commonspec: Parallel Solutions To The Prandtl Boundary Layer Limit Crisis Via Tri-Vector Architectures, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification establishes a rigorous, multi-track mathematical framework to resolve the legacy Prandtl Boundary Layer Inviscid Limit Problem (\(Re \to \infty\)). In classical continuum mechanics, the behavior of high-velocity fluid flow past a solid wall with a no-slip boundary condition represents a severe analytical discontinuity. As kinematic viscosity approaches zero (\(\epsilon \to 0\)), classical mathematical models fracture due to the uncontrolled generation of boundary-layer vorticity, creating a mismatch between the viscous Navier-Stokes equations and the inviscid Euler equations.
To achieve absolute verification without analytical bias, this paper presents three completely air-gapped, isolated methodologies executed in separate computational sandboxes:
- A Discrete …

Technical Hardware Specification: The Solid-State Acoustofluidic Boundary Demultiplexer (Reality Implementation), Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification formalizes an isolated, tri-parallel hardware validation framework for the engineering, execution, and real-world deployment of the Solid-State Acoustofluidic Boundary Demultiplexer. Traditional fluid mechanics and microfluidic transit networks face severe performance degradation at solid-fluid interfaces, where sub-millimeter boundary layer friction and viscous drag spike uncontrollably. These forces generate localized turbulent eddies, signal attenuation, and catastrophic thermal hotspots (Δ T).
To deliver an absolute, un-biased verification of a non-invasive, zero-drag acoustic boundary layer shield, this paper details three completely air-gapped, isolated methodologies executed in separate computational sandboxes:
- A Discrete Control Firmware Sandbox implementing a Gallium Nitride (GaN) switching array driven …

Technical Disclosure Specification: Reconciling Global Regularity In Three-Dimensional Navier-Stokes Systems Via Topological Helical Embedding Constraints, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification establishes a rigorous mathematical framework that proves global regularity and the absence of finite-time blowup singularities in the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\). Traditional approaches in classical fluid mechanics struggle to constrain the non-linear convective acceleration term, leading to unverified energy cascades where velocity gradients can theoretically diverge toward infinity (\(\lim_{t \to t^*} \Vert{}\mathbf{u}(\cdot, t)\Vert{}_{\infty} = \infty\)).
This paper demonstrates that by applying the Universal Sine Field Template (DEHP) as a strict, topologically protected geometric embedding constraint, the 3D velocity field is restricted to an orthogonal, phase-locked helical manifold. This structural configuration causes the non-linear convective acceleration …

Gesture-Gated Transaction System For Media Displays Using A Proximity-Aware Companion Device, Rohit Jain
Defensive Publications Series
Existing methods for making purchases through media displays, such as connected televisions, can introduce user interaction friction that may lead to transaction abandonment. A system can utilize a primary media display device to broadcast encrypted commerce information using short-range wireless protocols, for example, ultra-wideband or Bluetooth low energy, when media playback is paused. A secondary companion computing device (e.g., a smartphone, wearable device, tablet computer, or augmented reality glasses) can receive this information. A transactional user interface may be presented on the companion device upon detection of both the broadcasted information and a specific physical user gesture, which can act …

Spatial Pointing Architecture Using Fused Inertial And Ultra-Wideband Data, Rohit Jain
Defensive Publications Series
Navigating user interfaces on connected displays with conventional remote controls or motion-sensor-based pointers may present issues such as cursor drift, instability from hand tremors, and user fatigue. Described systems and techniques can use a companion computing device (e.g., a smartphone, smart watch, wearable device, etc.) as a six-degrees-of-freedom spatial pointer by fusing sensor data. High-frequency relative motion data from an inertial measurement unit (IMU) can be combined with lower-frequency absolute spatial positioning data from an ultra-wideband (UWB) radio that communicates with a display system. This fusion process may use the UWB data as a periodic reference to correct for cumulative …

On-Device Voice Processing With Adaptive Ui And Automated Memory Management, Rohit Jain
Defensive Publications Series
A system for on-device voice processing can feature an adaptive user interface (UI) and automated memory management. The system may utilize a lightweight, on-device artificial intelligence model for local processing of voice commands on a media consumption device, for example, a smart television or streaming player. An adaptive UI can present results by reflowing content in-place, which may allow media playback to continue without interruption. The system could also incorporate a collision avoidance mechanism that can dynamically reposition UI elements to avoid obscuring on-screen text, such as closed captions. An automated memory management system may temporarily unload the model to …
A Hybrid Metamaterial-Based System For 3d Anisotropic Printed Circuit Board Material Characterization, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure relates to a hybrid metamaterial-based system for three-dimensional anisotropic printed circuit board material characterization. The system utilizes a vertical zeroth-order resonator integrated alongside differential-length transmission lines to extract out-of-plane anisotropy and low-frequency permittivity parameters. Operating at a zeroth-order mode allows for a compact footprint, while sub-gigahertz operation assists in isolating intrinsic material loss from surface roughness effects.

Non-Contact Control Of Drumhead Resonance Decay By A Proximity Acoustical Resistor, Calvin Rose
Non-Contact Control Of Drumhead Resonance Decay By A Proximity Acoustical Resistor, Calvin Rose
Defensive Publications Series
A method is disclosed for shortening and tuning the decay time of a drumhead’s resonant modes — including selectively shortening the overtones — using an acoustically resistive element held in close proximity to, but not touching, the drumhead. A porous or perforated material (open-cell foam, cloth, fiber, or perforated metal or plastic) is positioned within a distance small compared with the wavelength of the mode of interest. The oscillating near-field air motion driven by the vibrating membrane is forced through the resistive material, where viscous and thermal losses convert modal energy to heat, raising the modal damping and shortening the …
Fixture-Resolved Water Monitoring And Leak Localization Via Transmission-Line Modeling And Active Time-Domain Reflectometry Of Residential Plumbing, Calvin Rose
Defensive Publications Series
We describe a method for inferring, from a single instrumented point on a dwelling’s main water supply, (i) which plumbing fixture is drawing water and (ii) the presence and physical location of leaks. The dwelling’s pipe network is modeled as a branched acoustic transmission line: pressure and volumetric flow play the roles of voltage and current, the distributed inertance and compliance of the water-filled pipe set a characteristic impedance and wave speed, viscous friction sets the attenuation, and a leak appears as a shunt admittance to a pressure sink at a specific location. Each fixture terminates a branch of distinct …

Energy Accounting For Pfas Treatment: Endpoint Definition, Concentration Dependence, And The Service-Equivalence Constraint, Ernest N. Sumrall
Energy Accounting For Pfas Treatment: Endpoint Definition, Concentration Dependence, And The Service-Equivalence Constraint, Ernest N. Sumrall
Defensive Publications Series
Energy performance in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) treatment is often reported on a volumetric basis, in kilowatt-hours per cubic metre of water processed. Volumetric energy is necessary for hydraulic design and utility sizing, but it is insufficient by itself for cross-study comparison because it does not reference the quantity of contaminant addressed. This paper develops the mass-normalised complement and, more importantly, establishes the conditions under which either metric may be used comparatively.
Three results are presented. First, a taxonomy separating five distinct endpoints — transfer, removal, degradation, defluorination, and mineralisation — that are not interchangeable, and a corresponding pair …
Non-Custodial Ephemeral Compute Architecture For Privacy-Preserving Analysis Of Personal Data, Mary F. Camacho
Non-Custodial Ephemeral Compute Architecture For Privacy-Preserving Analysis Of Personal Data, Mary F. Camacho
Defensive Publications Series
A non-custodial, ephemeral compute architecture enables privacy-preserving analysis of personal data by an operator that, by construction and not by policy, contract, or trust, holds no persistent key material capable of decrypting the data it processes. The architecture lets an application separate two kinds of personal data that are usually conflated. Contact data is the identifying and reach information an application legitimately needs to hold (name, email, account and billing identifiers: who someone is and how to reach them). Confided data is the substantive information a person reveals about themselves: their body, mind, behavior, and life. The architecture processes the …

Technical Disclosure Specification: Spherical Harmonic Field Modulation And Acoustofluidic Propagation Manifolds With Closed-Loop Sub-Wavelength Optical Sensing Feedback (Rev4), Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure specifies a complete engineering blueprint for a solid-state, contactless microparticle transport, positioning, and tracking system utilizing an integrated asymmetric acoustic radiation pressure matrix and sub-wavelength photonic sensor array. Traditional microfluidic handling architectures rely on intrusive physical channels, mechanical actuators, or unmonitored acoustic standing waves, which restrict material handling dynamics to preset geometric nodes and introduce severe operational boundary friction.
Operating under a completely integrated hardware-software architecture, this system maps three-dimensional spatial translation onto an ambient fluidic medium or localized dense plasma wake. The physical actuation layer consists of a surface-mounted grid of Gallium Nitride (GaN) piezoelectric transducers operating …

Operational Evolution Graph: A Continuous Operational Knowledge Model For Software Delivery Systems, Snehal Kunjir
Defensive Publications Series
Modern software delivery systems generate operational data across source repositories, CI/CD pipelines, deployment platforms, cloud infrastructure, observability tools, and incident management systems. These systems record valuable information, but they usually preserve it as isolated events, logs, metrics, tickets, and configuration records. As a result, engineers and diagnostic systems must repeatedly reconstruct operational context whenever a failure occurs. This disclosure introduces an Operational Evolution Graph (OEG), a continuously evolving operational knowledge model that persistently captures relationships among software changes, infrastructure updates, deployments, runtime events, investigations, and remediation outcomes. The OEG converts fragmented operational records into reusable operational memory. By maintaining historical …
Technical Disclosure Specification: Topological Knot Genesis And Emergent Substrate Hydrodynamics Under The Dehp Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Disclosure Specification: Topological Knot Genesis And Emergent Substrate Hydrodynamics Under The Dehp Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Mainstream physics models the universe bottom-up, treating discrete particles as fundamental entities that aggregate to form fluidic fields. This disclosure explicitly inverts that paradigm. We specify a top-down cosmology where a pre-geometric 2D membrane, governed by a universal sine wave template, serves as the primary substrate.
Physical matter ("particles") is shown to be non-fundamental, emerging instead as stable, self-localized, three-dimensional projective "knots" formed through wave-phase confinement. Macroscopic fluidity is demonstrated to be a secondary byproduct—a mechanical simulation layer created by the collective, viscoelastic interaction of these cohesive knots under the continuous influence of driving wave harmonics. This specification establishes a …

This document describes an automated process to evaluate a low-powered speech detection mechanism, also referred to as a voice activity detection system, audio gating network, hardware filter sentinel, wake-up trigger model, or tiny acoustic classifier, executing within an isolated, low-consumption hardware domain such as an always-on-compute island, low-power processing domain, hardware island, or power-isolated microcontroller unit. Traditional voice assistants or continuous audio recording architectures during routine environmental monitoring, including ambient processing apps and background listening frameworks, frequently cause severe battery exhaustion or power drain on mobile communications devices because the computationally heavier primary speech recognizer should remain active to evaluate …
