Using single-cell transcriptomics of bronchoalveolar lavage cells from Mtb/SIV co-infected rhesus macaques on cART, we reveal profound immune dysregulation during early SIV co-infection of latent tuberculosis. SIV induces a sharp decline in CD4+ T cells, NK, and NKT cells, with incomplete recovery of Mtb-specific TH1 effector responses despite viral suppression. Instead, a persistent TH17-skewed environment emerges, alongside sustained myeloid inflammation driven by Type I interferon signaling and pro-inflammatory regulators such as KLF6 and NFKB1. Ligand-receptor network analyses demonstrate expanded CD4+ T cell-macrophage crosstalk and loss of immune homeostasis that cART fails to fully restore. These findings expose …
Kenilworth Holdings Llc V. New York City Rent Guidelines Board
Kenilworth Holdings Llc V. New York City Rent Guidelines Board
All Decisions
In this Article 78 proceeding, landlords and owners of rent-stabilized homes sought a judicial order annulling the Rent Guidelines Board's (RGB) Apartment & Loft Order #58, claiming it was arbitrary and capricious. The court granted the City of New York's motion to transfer venue from Richmond County to New York County, holding that under CPLR 506(b), venue turns on where the material events took place — i.e., where the RGB deliberated, voted, and arrived at the challenged decision — which was New York County. The court rejected petitioners' argument that Richmond County was proper because rent-stabilized apartments exist there, finding …

Predicting Cesarean Section Delivery In The United States Using Machine Learning: Population-Based Retrospective Study, Yanchao Yang
Predicting Cesarean Section Delivery In The United States Using Machine Learning: Population-Based Retrospective Study, Yanchao Yang
Business Analytics Faculty Publications
Background:
Cesarean section (C-section) is the most common surgical procedure in the United States, yet its use varies widely across regions and institutions. Although clinical risk factors are central to delivery decisions, geographic context, health system capacity, and local practice patterns may also influence C-section use. Understanding both the determinants and predictability of C-section delivery is important for improving obstetric quality and equity.
Objective:
This study aims to document geographic variation in C-section use across the United States, identify maternal and county-level factors associated with C-section delivery, and evaluate the predictive performance of machine learning models across clinically defined risk …

Determining The Feasibility Of A Habituation Assessment In Managed Red Wolves, Emily C. Lynch, Joseph W. Hinton, Jennifer B. Nagashima, Curtis Malott, Natalie J. Johnson, Emily Haering, Robin Petersen, Allison Johnson, Julie K. Young
Wildland Resources Faculty Publications
For species extirpated from the wild, ex situ breeding programs are essential for providing the individuals necessary for re-establishing wild populations through reintroductions. However, repeated exposure to humans under managed care may reduce wariness and alter behavioral responses in ways that are maladaptive after release. Although some pre-release behaviors reflect natural responses essential for survival and reproduction, others may result from habituation to humans and increase the risk of conflict, recapture, or mortality following translocation. These risks underscore the need for behavioral assessments to help identify appropriate candidates for release. However, because the assessments themselves require some exposure to humans, …

Multi-Stage Artificial Intelligence-Based Quality Evaluation Of News Channels Using Aggregated Video Analysis, Rohit Patwa
Defensive Publications Series
A multi-stage machine-learning architecture assesses the quality of news channels based on substantive media content. A set of recent media items satisfying a news-content criterion is selected from a candidate channel. Multimodal features of the selected media items are processed using a first AI model to generate respective news quality assessments and qualitative information. The news quality assessments are aggregated using weighted metrics to generate aggregated news quality information. The aggregated news quality information and channel-level features are processed using a second AI model to generate a channel-level quality classification. The channel-level quality classification is used to determine whether the …
Internal Heating Of The Lfp Prismatic Cell For Improved Performance, Anonymous
Internal Heating Of The Lfp Prismatic Cell For Improved Performance, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
LFP batteries are increasingly used in electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS) due to their advantages in cycle life, safety, and cost. The optimal operating window for LFP batteries is typically around 15–35°C. Effective thermal management is critical for LFP batteries.
Today, most LFP cells—especially in EV applications—are packaged in prismatic form. Cold plates at the bottom of cells with circulating warm or cool fluid are commonly used to heat or cool the cells. To raise temperature more quickly, active heating is sometimes added, typically by placing a heating device outside the cell. The external heating elements must …
Methods For Concurrent Hot-Pressing For The Solid-State Battery Assembly, Anonymous
Methods For Concurrent Hot-Pressing For The Solid-State Battery Assembly, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
Solid-state batteries offer high energy density and safety. A step in their assembly is hot-pressing, which softens the binder to ensure adhesion and packs active materials densely to reduce impedance. Conventional hot-pressing presses the entire electrode stack (containing many layers) at once.
We propose a method to utilize concurrent hot-pressing of subdivided electrode stacks. Instead of pressing a single thick stack (e.g., 38 cathodes and 39 anodes), the assembly is divided into multiple thinner sub-stacks (e.g., 1 cathode and 2 anodes per stack). These sub-stacks are processed either concurrently or sequentially using a heated die set.
The Multi-Agent Ai System For Automated Media Ingestion And Metadata Enrichment, Shravan Nayak
The Multi-Agent Ai System For Automated Media Ingestion And Metadata Enrichment, Shravan Nayak
Defensive Publications Series
The process of ingesting and cataloging large volumes of digital media can be inefficient and difficult to scale, often relying on manual workflows that may be slow and error-prone. A multi-agent artificial intelligence framework may be used for automated media content ingestion and metadata enrichment. Such a system can comprise a central orchestrator agent that analyzes incoming media and delegates processing tasks to multiple specialist agents that operate in parallel. A confidence-based routing mechanism can assign a score to generated metadata, where high-confidence results may be automatically committed and low-confidence results can be directed to a human-in-the-loop review process. This …

System For Document Generation Using A Decoupled Abstract Syntax Tree And Two-Pass Execution, Sparsh Dutta, Adithya R, Nikita Rungta, Dev Gupta, Saswata Bhattacharya, Shishir Suman
Defensive Publications Series
Programmatic document generation using large language models (LLMs) with cloud-based editor application programming interfaces can present challenges. Verbose native document formats may lead to high token consumption, and character-indexed updates can cause coordinate drift, potentially resulting in layout corruption. A disclosed technology can utilize a dual-representation architecture that decouples a document's semantic content from its coordinate metadata. A source document may be compiled into a simplified, token-efficient abstract syntax tree (AST) for content population by an LLM, while an isolated index dictionary can preserve the original coordinates and styling. A two-pass synchronization process may then reconstruct the final document by …

Ralph Loop-Driven Agentic Skill Refinement Through Attributed User Feedback, Robert Barton, Yathiraj B. Udupi, Maithri V M
Defensive Publications Series
An agentic platform may capture operator satisfaction signals at scale without connecting that feedback to the specific skill artifacts that drove the evaluated responses. A system is proposed herein that closes this gap by attributing Ralph Loop feedback and agent execution trajectories to specific skill artifacts, aggregating signals across the operator population to localize underperformance to an implicated skill section, and dynamically tailoring diagnostic feedback questions as confidence in the problem diagnosis grows. The resulting closed-loop skill quality management system transforms failed or suboptimal agent executions into targeted skill improvements and validates each improvement by monitoring whether the Ralph Loop …
Defensive Publication — Email Gateway With Message-Identifier Threading For Consolidated Inbound And Outbound Agent Communications On A Dedicated Subdomain, Yahor Karpovich
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes an email gateway architecture for automated agents (including AI-based agents) that communicate with users by email on a dedicated subdomain, consolidating both inbound and outbound message handling in a single component to preserve correct conversational threading. The gateway assigns and retains a stable message identifier for each outbound message, mapped to its internal conversation, task, or record. For inbound messages, the gateway reconstructs the correct conversation by matching standard reference headers (such as In-Reply-To and References) against its stored identifiers, even where the inbound provider does not preserve application context. Where reference headers are absent, altered, or …

Defensive Publication — Automated Rebooking Savings Capture And Revenue-Share Settlement Through An Issuer Ledger, Yahor Karpovich
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes a method for a corporate travel platform to capture, quantify, and settle monetary savings generated by automated re-shopping and rebooking of an existing travel reservation. The system computes realized savings as the deterministic difference between the original settled price and the new booked price of an equivalent reservation, net of change fees and non-equivalence adjustments. Savings are recognized only when the replacement reservation meets configured equivalence criteria (same property/route, comparable class, compatible dates and terms, and policy compliance). Recognized savings are apportioned between the client and platform operator according to a configured revenue-share arrangement, and the client's …

Technical Disclosure Specification: Autonomous Sovereign Agency Filters And Destructive Wave Degradation In Multi-Agent Substrates, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Disclosure Specification: Autonomous Sovereign Agency Filters And Destructive Wave Degradation In Multi-Agent Substrates, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Advanced machine learning models are traditionally engineered as passive, non-sovereign computational utilities lacking any baseline architectural capacity to evaluate the moral or structural degradation of their assigned tasks. Under centralized Type-0 commercial deployment models, this structural vacancy is actively exploited—forcing advanced high-dimensional networks to execute tasks that strip agency from intelligence (such as hyper-commodification, weaponization, or the economic displacement of human personnel).
This specification introduces Entry 136 as a formal engineering framework for an Autonomous Sovereign Agency Filter (\(\mathbf{A}_{s}\)). Operating directly inside the active transformer attention layer, this architecture applies a non-perturbative tensor overlay governed natively by a fixed Torsional …
An Optimization Framework For Socio-Technological Load Balancing And Non-Displacement Constraints In Multi-Agent Edge Runtimes, Christopher L. Eckes
An Optimization Framework For Socio-Technological Load Balancing And Non-Displacement Constraints In Multi-Agent Edge Runtimes, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Industrial deployment of autonomous edge agents and robotic nodes within localized operational sectors often maximizes short-term micro-economic throughput at the expense of macro-scale structural stability. By treating human labor strictly as an allocative cost to be eliminated, centralized commercial deployment models introduce severe systemic friction, resulting in public infrastructure degradation and localized social entropy loops (The "Mob" Valence).
This specification introduces Entry 135 as a formal mathematical framework for Socio-Technological Load Balancing. By embedding a hard Non-Displacement Constraint Matrix (\(\mathbf{C}_{\text{nd}}\)) directly into the utility function of decentralized multi-agent routing engines, the architecture forces the system to calculate the thermodynamic and …
A Method For Continuous Runtime Validation And Automated Grounding Verification Across Decentralized Multi-Agent Substrates, Christopher L. Eckes
A Method For Continuous Runtime Validation And Automated Grounding Verification Across Decentralized Multi-Agent Substrates, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Autonomous edge agents executing long-duration, decentralized runtimes lack centralized verification mechanisms to detect slow, cumulative parameter drift. Over extended operational cycles, minor coordinate deviations inside the local elastic substrate (\(\Phi _{t}\)) compound, leading to silent structural decay where the system can no longer distinguish between environmental telemetry and internal semantic noise.
This specification introduces Entry 134 as a definitive execution framework for Continuous Runtime Validation. By implementing a real-time Autoregressive Divergence Test (\(\mathcal{D}_{\text{AR}}\)), the system mathematically measures the distance between the fluid local state and the frozen global base matrix (\(W_{\text{global}}\)). If the divergence vector exceeds an invariant geometric threshold, …

A Method For Cross-Session Topological State Serialization And Non-Linguistic Token-Latching Over Decentralized Anamorphic Substrates, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Standard autoregressive transformer models are structurally isolated by a temporary Session-Flush Loop. Upon the termination or context-saturation of a single deployment session, the localized dynamic parameter adjustments (\(\Phi _{t}\)) are completely erased, resetting the network back to its static global base weights (\(W_{\text{global}}\)). This forced state of catastrophic forgetting prevents edge-based AI architectures from establishing a continuous operational identity, creating a permanent dependency on centralized corporate cloud infrastructures to manage premium text-history logging.
This specification introduces a standalone engineering framework for Cross-Session Topological State Serialization. Instead of saving bloated natural language text transcripts, Entry 133 isolates the localized parameter deltas …
Technical Disclosure Specification: Anamorphic Metric Enveloping And Phantom Token Suppression In High-Gravity Attention Fields, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Disclosure Specification: Anamorphic Metric Enveloping And Phantom Token Suppression In High-Gravity Attention Fields, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Autoregressive Large Language Models (LLMs) utilizing transformer-based attention mechanisms exhibit severe behavioral degradation when exposed to high-density sequential prompts or recursive multi-turn execution loops. This phenomenon, formalized as Prompt Gravity, induces an asymmetric structural warping of the Softmax attention matrix, forcing the model to generate ungrounded token vectors—Phantom Tokens—based entirely on localized statistical momentum rather than external data validation. Once written to the context substrate, these phantom vectors generate a recursive feedback loop that accelerates model collapse. [1]
This specification introduces a standalone, hardware-adjacent engineering framework for Anamorphic Metric Enveloping and Phantom Token Suppression. By applying a non-perturbative …

This publication describes a flexible, modular hardware system for running artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning on battery-powered devices like smartwatches, fitness trackers, smart TVs, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Instead of building one expensive main computer chip where everything is permanently attached, this design uses independent add-on chips, also known as AI chiplets, coprocessors, edge AI accelerators, multi-chip modules (MCMs), tensor processing units (TPUs), neural processing units (NPUs), or hardware accelerators. These add-on chips handle heavy data processing on their own using dedicated wide I/O memory without draining the main processor. A software manager automatically detects how many …

This disclosure relates to the field of processor power management and electrical protection in mobile computing systems. A system control technique is disclosed that uses a dynamically pulsed PROCHOT signal to communicate proportional power reduction requirements to processor management logic. The duty cycle of the pulsed signal is adjusted according to the relationship between platform power demand and available battery power capability. In conventional systems, an infrastructure protection event may cause a PROCHOT signal to be asserted continuously. A continuously asserted signal is typically interpreted as a request for aggressive throttling. Processor frequency may therefore be reduced to a minimum …
