Digital platform capitalism depends on geographic data to connect users with nearby goods and services, thus playing a role in both representing and shaping commercial landscapes. OpenStreetMap (OSM) represents a vast and low-cost geographic data source for platform capitalism; however, OSM is crowdsourced and exhibits uneven development across space, especially in rural areas. Context

Modafinil is a central-acting wakefulness-promoting agent approved for narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and shift-work sleep disorder and is increasingly prescribed off-label for several neuropsychiatric conditions. Due to its favorable safety profile and lower abuse potential compared with other psychostimulants, modafinil has been increasingly used in treatment for narcolepsy and similar sleep disorders. While its safety profile is generally applauded, there have been an increasing number of case reports detailing rare neuropsychiatric adverse effects associated with modafinil exposure.

Current approaches to avoid the drop in engagement with notifications have a high overhead, are slow to roll out, and lack content personalization. This disclosure describes techniques, implemented with user permission, to automatically select and manage content for push notifications with an automated closed-loop self-healing personalized architecture. The approach can be implemented with a Contextual Multi-Armed Bandit (CMAB) Reinforcement Learning (RL) model with reward signals configured to trigger a Large Language Model (LLM) to generate, validate, and inject fresh personalized notification strings in the content pool. Purpose: Recurrence risk estimates underpin meningioma research, including molecular classification and clinical trial benchmarking, yet are often based on retrospective or historical data. The aim of this study was to assess the variation of recurrence risk estimates across calendar periods, WHO classification editions, geographical settings, and healthcare systems.thetermine METHODS: We analyzed 4,111 patients with primary WHO-1/-2 meningiomas from 31 centers in 15 countries (1990-2019). Recurrence was defined according to local radiological assessment. The 5- and 10-year recurrence risks were estimated using regression standardization with inverse probability of censoring weights, adjusting for key clinical, surgical, and histopathological variables.

Interactive digital tasks have the potential to aid mathematics educators in providing equitable mathematics learning experiences. However, research indicates that mathematics educators may not be aware of how interactive digital tasks can promote equitable teaching practices. This study reports on a design-based research project exploring pre-service teachers’ perceptions of equity and interactive digital tasks. Over three cycles of design, implementation, evaluation, and revision, 57 pre-service teachers participated; this article focuses on data from the third cycle, involving 25 pre-service teachers. UNLABELLED: How mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) polymorphisms influence complex phenotypes remains poorly understood. Using mitochondrial-nuclear exchange mice, we previously showed that mtDNA single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) modify metastasis, cardiovascular disease, and epigenetic marks independently of metabolic differences. The only mtDNA SNP correlating with these phenotypes resides in the gene encoding mitochondrial transfer RNA (tRNA)-arginine [mt-tRNAArg (UCG), mt-TR], suggesting a role for non-protein-coding loci. In this study, we identify and preliminarily characterize previously undescribed tRNA-derived fragments (tRF) generated from mt-TRs. Urban roadway flooding in flat metropolitan environments often shows up as small areas of standing water rather than large, flowing floods. In low-gradient urban environments, subtle micro-topographic features—such as pavement crowns, curbs, and localized depressions—often control where surface water accumulates following rainfall. Accurately identifying these localized ponding areas is important for roadway flood screening and infrastructure management. This study develops a LiDAR-based depression mapping framework to identify roadway segments susceptible to surface ponding in flat urban environments. It is well established that climate change affects productivity, but its effects on trade costs have not been studied. I combine international trade and weather data covering 190 years and show how an augmented gravity framework can be used to estimate the impact of climate change on bilateral trade cost. I find that climate change, as measured by decadal temperature shifts at the origin or destination country, increases them. Adaptation to these changes seems slow. They appear to be driven by impacts on maritime trade in particular, perhaps due to the vulnerability of seaports to climate change. Combining these results …

This study presents a waste-to-interface strategy for engineering high-performance Janus monolithic adsorbents through a circular biorefinery pathway utilizing coffee and rice residues. We demonstrate that a critical loading of 20 wt% biogenic submicron silica into a coffee-derived cellulose diacetate matrix triggers a definitive gravityinduced stratification, transforming a traditional isotropic film into a sophisticated asymmetric architecture. This Janus transition yields a superhydrophilic interface (contact angle < 5◦) and significantly enhances surface porosity, effectively bypassing the diffusion barriers that typically limit homogeneous biocomposites. Methylene Blue adsorption trials reveal that this 20 wt% threshold achieves rapid adsorption kinetics (p < 0.05) by maximizing active-site accessibility. In contrast to conventional powder adsorbents, these monolithic films enable zero-energy manual recovery, entirely eliminating the need for energy-intensive post-treatment separation. By bridging the gap between multi-feedstock valorization and anisotropic materials science, this work provides a scalable blueprint for sustainable, high-flux water remediation
