Financial stress is a pervasive concern among medical students, with documented associations with adverse physical health, psychological morbidity, and ineffective coping. This study focuses on understanding the financial stressors female medical students face and the coping strategies they employ. While financial stress and coping mechanisms have been explored in the literature, a notable gap exists in understanding these dynamics among female students.

The study employed a phenomenological research approach to obtain data from the respondents, where data collection involved face-to-face semi-structured interviews. The Adaptation Model of Nursing, complemented by Lazarus and Folkman's Coping Theory, was a comprehensive framework for analyzing …

Background: While substance use and absence of mental health disorders among youth in the United States (US) have declined over the past two decades, post COVID-19 pandemic, these conditions have increased significantly with notable disparities, and witnessed a crisis in public health. In 2022, 24.7% or 6.1 million adolescents aged 12 to 17 in the US had either Major Depressive Episodes (MDE) or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and 3.7 percent had both in the prior year2. This study sought to further understand the cognitive factors that influence undergraduate students' behavioral intention to use generative AI. Generative AI's presence in academic spaces opens the door for ethical and pedagogical questions. This study surveyed 51 undergraduate communication students to measure their attitudes, subjective norms, self efficacy and their behavioral intention to use GenAI for school work. The results of this study showed behavioral intent had a positive relationship with attitudes and subjective norms. Oral biofilms, comprising diverse microbial communities residing on oral surfaces, play a pivotal role in oral health and disease. Understanding the antimicrobial profile of these biofilms is crucial for developing effective strategies to combat oral infections and maintain oral hygiene. Here we report the antimicrobial profile of Micrococcus lutens, a bacteria found as part of the mouth microflora. We tested using a comprehensive microtiter inhibition assay the antibacterial profile using a total of 12 antibacterial agents. This case highlights the urgency of considering acute leukemic transformation in young patients presenting with neurological deficits, emphasizing the importance of prompt evaluation and management to optimize patient outcomes. The case depicted is a tragic complication of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and its acute blast crisis. Angioedema is defined as a non-pitting edema that involves the subcutaneous layer and additionally may include submucosal layers of tissue which pertain to the face, oral cavity, larynx, lips, extremities and gastrointestinal tract; this becomes a life-threatening situation particularly when there is involvement of the larynx. Angioedema may be classified as either histamine-mediated or bradykinin-mediated. Histamine-mediated, associated with mast-cell and basophil activation, is the most common. Bradykinin-mediated (secondary to hereditary, acquired C1-inhibitor deficiency, ACEI-associated angioedema) occur when an allergic reaction and hives will not trigger this reaction. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Singh Thattha beard covering technique when quantitatively fit testing tight-fitting filtering face masks (N95 respirators) on male members of the Sikh religious group. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sikh healthcare workers faced the difficult decision of either shaving their unshorn beards to continue their profession or finding alternative solutions to maintain adequate respiratory protection. A section of Mississippian limestone is exposed in quarry walls at the DePauw Nature Park in Greencastle, Indiana, but its precise age is not known. This research project aimed to date the exposed wall using 87Sr/86Sr isotopic ratios to determine the absolute age. Ten samples of brachiopods and ooids were collected at various levels along the stratigraphic column. Isotope ratios were measured in these samples at ALS Scandinavia using a Neptune Plus MC-ICP-MS. This paper aims to establish a relationship between political regime type and public health outcomes. Looking specifically at cancer mortality, I employed a mixed-methods research approach to examine a potential relationship. I hypothesized that there would be a strong relationship between cancer mortality rates and regime types showing that democratic regimes have better outcomes due to democratic countries prioritizing public health more than autocracies. This research intends to integrate bacteriophages onto unwaxed dental floss as a possible future preventative treatment for oral cavities. Bacteriophages are viruses that degrade the composition of bacterial populations by invading and reproducing inside bacterial hosts. The experimental framework involves soaking unwaxed floss in the bacteriophages named Phrick and Stonehill. The purpose of this study was to identify the perceived effectiveness of occupations chosen by graduate level OT students in maintaining well-being and managing stress during level II fieldwork. Cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and various mental health conditions have been shown to be associated with gut microbiota alterations that may contribute to the development and pathogenesis of those diseases. Cardiovascular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and diabetes have been associated with a lack of butyrate- producing bacteria which are responsible for lowering blood pressure, limiting atherosclerosis, abdominal pain, and lowering insulin resistance. This study investigates the impact of an animal nutrition course on pet owners during the Fall of 2023. The primary objective is to determine how a pet owner's perception of their pet's diet changes and to identify any corresponding alterations made to the pet's diet before and while taking an animal nutrition course. Two surveys were conducted to collect responses: the pre-survey received 18 responses from animal nutrition students regarding their pets' diets before taking the course, and the post-survey received 18 responses from animal nutrition students regarding any changes in their pets' diets while taking the course.

Brushing your teeth is an incredibly important part of taking care of your oral health and daily hygiene. Dentists recommend that you should brush your teeth twice a day for periods of at least two minutes to achieve adequate results and promote oral health.

The US 33 over the Blue River Bridge Replacement project is the first INDOT project of its kind, and a great example of Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC). The project used prefabricated steel beam modular super- structure units with prefabricated substructure units, approach slabs, terminal joints, and “steel-like” UHPC for the 8-inch closure pours. Background: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) education and training for RNs should be multifaceted and targeted to the RN clinical workflow. Input from direct care RNs is essential to ensure EMR education is relevant and effective. Shared Governance at a community hospital identified quality and safety concerns among inpatient RNs. RNs reported that belongings inventories were not consistently documented in the EMR for Emergency Department (ED) admissions. Hospital policy requires belongings inventory EMR documentation for all admitted patients. An audit of charts for ED admissions over three months revealed only 5% compliance with this policy.
