Felony offenders may face incarceration as a result of their offenses, which takes them away from their families and communities and causes financial burdens for all stakeholders for extended periods. The purpose of this ethnographic study was to explore reentry programs in Louisiana through the accounts of ex-offenders. Reality testing and social learning theory formed the theoretical foundation. The study examined what reentry topics ex-offenders feel needed to be addressed to ensure habitual offenders successfully transition back into society and what role ex-offenders felt reentry programs played in reducing recidivism rates among habitual offenders. The reported number of prescription opioid overdoses justifies the need for providing patients with opioid discharge information and follow-up care as recommended. To prevent any misuse of prescription opioid drugs, it was critical for patients to receive a thorough review of their medications prior to being discharged. AbstractPatients diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) receiving dialysis experience increased symptom burden and multiple hospitalizations as the disease progresses. Dialysis nurses are charged with involving ESRD patients in decisions regarding their care and advance care planning for end-of- life; however, discussions about end-of-life care do not consistently occur. AbstractFood insecurity is not having enough food or resources or not being able to procure nutritious foods. An observation that nurses in one oncology clinic rarely assessed their patients for food insecurity as part of their regular assessment led to the development and testing of an educational intervention for nurses which was to create awareness on the importance of assessing food insecurity among oncology patients and to learn to use the Household Food Insecurity Assess Scale (HFIAS) in assessing patients. Some retail managers lack strategies to improve the retention of high-performing salespeople. Losing high-performing salespeople leads to capital losses that threaten organizational and community sustainability. Grounded in leader-member exchange leadership theory, the purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore strategies used by four retail managers to retain high-performing salespeople in Atlanta, Georgia. Data were collected using semistructured interviews and a review of company documents. Business and IT leaders in financial services are concerned with the limited benefits they are reaping from information technology outsourcing (ITO) projects, despite continued heavy investments in ITO. Grounded in the transaction cost, agency, and resource-based view theories, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between vendor/client complementarity, vendor technology maturity, vendor financial stability, and ITO success. Unregulated state cyberattacks are an urgent threat to international peace and security because of the costs they impose and the devastating effects they can create. However, international norms governing state cyberattacks (international cybersecurity norms) have not yet emerged. The lack of meaningful consequences for state cyberattacks, and the high rewards derived from them, incentivize states to engage in this new form of hostile conduct (cyberconflict).
