Adults Ability To Trust After Chronic Cps Involvement As Children, Shaunya Richel Miller-Bright

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Abuse against children is an issue in the United States. The effects of being abused can follow children into adulthood. If an individual lacks trust, other issues can arise. Freud's psychodynamic theory served as the theoretical framework for this study. A generic qualitative approach was used to address the following research question: What are adults' perceptions and experiences regarding their ability to trust others later in life after chronic involvement with CPS as …

Some U.S. manufacturing managers lack strategies to mitigate the effects of U.S.-imposed limits on imports. Import restrictions have created significant challenges for manufacturing organizations, increasing costs, supply chain disruptions, operational inefficiencies, and increasing the cost to the consumer. Grounded in disruptive innovation theory (DIT), this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was an exploration of the strategies that U.S. manufacturing managers use to mitigate the effects of U.S.-imposed limits on imports. The participants were four manufacturing managers who had implemented strategies to mitigate the effects of U.S. import limits. Data were collected using an interview protocol and semistructured questions. Through thematic analysis, seven …

Built upon the theoretical foundation of person-organization fit theory, this qualitative multiple case study was conducted to identify and explore effective strategies hiring managers of medium-sized Texas organizations use to hire military veterans to improve organizational performance. The participants were seven hiring managers …

The Leading Causes Of Homelessness In Two Southeastern Counties Of Pennsylvania, Lucia Christine Spargo Apr 2025

The Leading Causes Of Homelessness In Two Southeastern Counties Of Pennsylvania, Lucia Christine Spargo

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Homelessness is a complex and multifaceted leading social issue in the United States. Society tends to focus on the individual as the cause of their own homelessness, blaming the victim rather than larger social and/or economic factors. There is an excess amount of data surrounding why/how an individual becomes homeless, but there is very little research examining the leading causes of homelessness in smaller geographic areas, such as counties. This study provides a better understanding and analysis of the leading causes of homelessness in two suburban counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania using binary logistic regression. Using ArcGIS, the study identified potential …
