Blood vessels traversing the subarachnoid space possess morphological characteristics reflecting specialized function and environment. The spaces associated with these vessels are of special Interest. Until recently, however, clear descriptions of these vessels and the spaces associated with them were limited by Inadequate fixation. This study describes the normal morphology of blood vessels in the subarachnoid space and their associated spaces in tissues known to be fixed adequately for fine structure.

This thesis Is a land utilization study of Burke County. The county has two distinct physical regions, thus two distinct forms of agriculture are practiced. Grain farming Is dominant on the Drift Prairie and mixed livestock and grain farming are common on the more rugged terrain of the Missouri Plateau.

Further study reveals that a definite loss of population, both rural and urban, is in progress. The greatest out-migration is composed of younger people and senior citizens, leaving a middle age group as the dominant segment of the population. This loss of population is expected to continue.

The purpose of this study was to discover the attitude toward physical education of the one-hundred Manitoba principals of high schools with enrollments over one hundred and fifty. For the basis of evaluation, the Wear Attitude Inventory was incorporated into a questionnaire, to which ninety-one principals responded.

Comparisons between different groups of principals to determine attitude differences were also made. The purpose of this study was to determine: (a) employment policies concerning high school graduates; (b) use of types of adding and calculating machines as well as computers; (c) types of activities performed; and (d) attitudes and skills of applicants.

Business firms in cities in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin were chosen rather subjectively for this study. Letters and questionnaires were sent to them. A 99 per cent return was obtained. Data was analyzed and tabulated.

Measurements of the dielectric constants of liquid argon, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and three organic liquids were made with an alternating current series capacitance bridge operating over the frequency range from twenty cycles per second up to one hundred kilocycles per second. The liquefied gases were measured at their boiling points at atmospheric pressure and the organic liquids were measured at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Electron microscopy has settled prior controversies regarding the relationship of axon, myelin and Schwann cell bat doubt remains about the correct interpretation of the classic binding sheaths. Perineurium is customarily interpreted to be flattened fibroblasts but recent evidence suggests attenuated Schwann cells. This study attempts to reinterpret the morphology of peripheral nerve known to be fixed adequately for fine structure. Special emphasis is placed on the binding sheaths, especially perineurium.

Forty white rats were perfused with buffered aldehydes. Sural and sciatic nerves were removed. Smaller nerves were obtained with orbital contents and the loose connective tissue of spleen and pancreas. …

The participants in this study consisted of fifty- seven sophomore boy attending Fargo North High School in Fargo, North Dakota. Three groups of nineteen members each were equated on the basis of age, weight and height. The control group participated in regular physical education two periods a week, Experimental group A participated in a systematic Exer-Genie exercise program two periods a week, Experimental group B participated in the same systematic Exer-Cenia activity five periods a week.
