The project consisted of planning and organizing a seminar for dissemination of information to persons working with the aged. From my ten years of experience in the health care profession, six of them were working with the aged population . I was surprised at my lack of knowledge about the older person. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of dry etching techniques on changing halftone dotsizes. Dry etching, or photographic color correction, has emerged in recent years as an alternative to traditional dot etching for making local corrections to color separation halftones. This study examines six factors related to dry etching. First, three types of original halftone dots were considered: laser formed (hard) dots from a Hell DC-300B scanner, laser formed (semi-hard) dots from a P.D.I, scanner, and contact screen (soft) dots from a Crosfield 510 Magnascan scanner. Development adjacency effects and optical spread in photographic systems cause difficulties in predicting small-scale densities. These effects can be quantified as spread functions. The optical spread func tion describes the light scatter of the film. The chemical spread func tion describes the lateral diffusion of development- inhibiting and dev elopment-accelerating reaction products. An investigation was conducted to determine if scholastic achievement and grade level would affect participation in a parent-child reading contract program. Subjects were 108 students in grades 1-6 who were systematically sampled from 1,095 students who signed contracts to participate in the Wentzville Spring Into Reading Program.

A chi square was used to determine if there was a significant difference between high reading achievers and low reading achievers both for primary and intermediate grade levels and at all grade levels. The subject discussed in this paper is the value of using in-store marketing techniques to sell more Brewers beer than would be sold by relying solely on additional advertising. This additional advertising would in effect create what is termed media pull in motivating the consumer to buy more Brewers beer. The effectiveness of additional media support was compared to a sales promotion with reseller merchandising and display effort. This comparison was made by conducting two field experiments.

This research investigates the relationship between personality as measured by the Singer-Loomis Inventory of Personality and the quantity of mystical experiences as measured by the Mysticism Scale. A review of the literature shows that introverts have more awareness of the archetypes and the archetypes often appear in mystical experiences. Awareness of mystical experiences is precisely what the Mysticism Scale measures.
