During the turning and milling operations of metal workpieces, product quality is among the criteria with the potential to be improved by using a suitable lubrication system. Cart Inverted Pendulum (CIP) is a benchmark problem in nonlinear automatic control which has numerous applications, such as two wheeled mobile robot and under actuated robots. The objective of this study is to design a swinging-up controller with a robust sliding mode stabilization controller for CIP, and to apply the proposed controller on a real CIP. Speech signal carries pitch intonation that can express information such as accent, emotion, gender, and age. Therefore this study seeks to examine the identity construction of Libyan ELF learners through their personal narratives. Kajian dijalankan dengan menyenaraikan sifat-sifat bidadari yang digambarkan dalam ayat-ayat tersebut untuk dianalisis dari aspek makna. To investigate miscommunications that Iranians face in their real interactions, 12 Iranians who are postgraduate students in Malaysia are asked to describe their experiences of miscommunications. These Iranians had learnt English in Iran, which can be considered as either an EFL or EIL country, and later lived in Malaysia, an ESL country. Tujuan utama kajian ini adalah untuk melihat penguasaan kemahiran mendengar bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pelajar menengah agama. Kajian ini dilakukan ke atas seramai lapan puluh orang responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar-pelajar tingkatan tiga di Ma‟ahad As-Sultan Ahmad Shah Ad-Dini (Ma‟ahad SAS), Jengka. Kajian ini meninjau tahap pengetahuan sedia ada tentang kata pinjaman Arab dalam kalangan pelajar Tingkatan Empat. Kajian ini juga melihat sejauhmana hubungan faktor luaran dan faktor dalaman dengan pengetahuan sedia ada tentang kata pinjaman Arab di samping melihat sejauh mana hubungan antara pengetahuan sedia ada tersebut dengan pencapaian bahasa Arab semasa Peperiksaan Menengah Rendah (PMR).
