Effectiveness Of An Educational Intervention On Palliative Care For Registered Nurses In Lebanon, Mary Arevian, May Naifeh Khoury, Souha Fares, Ghina Al Khatib

Purpose: Assess effectiveness of educational intervention, adapted from End of Life Care Curriculum for nurses.

Method: Quasi experimental pre-post-test. Assessment: 34 multiple choice questions.

Results: Mean pretest score 48.53 (SD = 9.23), post- test 70.05 (SD = 12). Significant increase between pre-post-test scores (p < 0.001). Replicate study.

Coping And Diary Writing Experience In Mothers Of Troubled Teenagers And Adult Children, Yeoun Soo Kim-Godwin, Suk-Sun Kim, Minji Gil

This study explored the benefits of a diary writing intervention and coping methods in mothers of troubled teenagers and adult children. A convenience sample of 37 mothers participated in a six-week diary writing intervention, and completed the baseline- and post-survey.

Home-based and supervised combined with home-based exercise had a medium effect on sleep quality. Interventions with aerobic exercise, especially the 4 to 8-week programs and those with weekly volume of 80-149 minutes per week for cancer patients with ongoing or completed treatment had a medium to large positive effect.

A pain-related patient satisfaction metric was implemented for ambulatory patients receiving outpatient care across practice settings at an academic medical center. We discuss US-Norwegian evidence-based teaching approaches integrated into international student clinical experiences that address the sustainable development goals.
