A literature search was conducted using CINAHL and EBSCO databases using the keywords "blood disorders and adolescents". The search yielded 1600 articles. Refinement of the search occurred using keywords "hemophilia and adolescents and quality of life" resulted in six articles. Findings from the literature and implications for nursing are addressed.

Patient satisfaction rates on two Dedicated Education Units (DEUs) have been low related to explanation of diagnostic procedures. A collaborative initiative of unit staff, faculty, radiography technology and nursing students provides education to patients on procedures. Outcomes include increased patient satisfaction, improved interdisciplinary communication and confidence in patient teaching.

Fatigue Domains Correlate Sleep Quality In Taiwanese People With Heart Failure, Hsing-Mei Chen, Ferdy Lainsamputty, Padthayawad Pragodpol, Masroni Masroni

The study found that fatigue severity and fatigue distress domains, but not fatigue timing, were significantly associated with sleep quality. Nurse researchers can use our findings as references further exploring the cause and effect of sleep and fatigue domains in patients with heart failure.

An evidence-based practice project focused on aromatherapy as an adjunct modality in prevention of post-operative nausea and vomiting during the immediate post-recovery period. Results showed a 40%-60% reduction of antiemetic medication usage and increased Press Ganey overall patient satisfaction scores among the Ambulatory Surgery population (92.5% to 95.1%).

This study was designed to clarify the antimicrobial effect of water-soluble essential oil. In the wool-sweater, the polyester-chair cover, the cotton-pillowcase, ATP+AMP for tea-tree, alcohol showed each different result. This result is suggested that the antimicrobial effect might be different depending on the type of cloth.

In Taiwan, oral cavity cancer ranks sixth in cancer incidence. The major treatment of oral cavity caner was surgery with or without adjuvant therapy which depend on pathological risk factor.
