The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between drinking habits and metacognition in patients with alcohol use disorders. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted on 118 psychiatric outpatients who diagnosed with alcohol use disorders. We found a weak negative correlation between drinking habits and the metacognitive.

Little evidence exists in the literature to support this practice aside from anecdotal evidence and opinion pieces. African American women have the lowest levels of leisure-time physical activity (LTPA), contributing to disproportionate cardiovascular disease. We implemented an individual family interviewed to help the parents successful transition in the Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU). The results indicated the parents in the experimental group have better mental health and improved the family function.

The purpose of this study was to understand, and describe the lived experience of Barbadians with a lower-extremity amputation. The diabetes-related lower-extremity amputation rate was estimated at 936 per 100,000 people in Barbados, making Barbados a place in the world with the highest incidence of diabetes (Hennis et al., 2004).

The study suggests that preterm infants receiving combinations of mother’s breast milk (BM)+heartbeat sounds (HBs)+non-nutritive sucking (NNS) and BM+HBs had significantly fewer occurrences of facial actions and body movements. The combination of mother’s BM, HBs, and NNS can alleviate behavioral stress in preterm infants during venipuncture.
