Farmers and ranchers have been faced with the problem of bloat for many centuries. Thus far there has been little concrete evidence form research in determining the cause, finding a cure or a preventive for bloat. Numerous preventives for bloat have been practically useless. Investigators have used oils and paraffin’s as prophylactic and therapeutic measure against legume bloat. Antibiotics have been used as preventatives with some success, antifoaming agents have little effect and are of short duration. Tranquilizers, a comparatively a new group of compounds, have produced spectacular results in combatting stress conditions in animals. The ideal effect of tranquilizers …

In recent years, there has been an increasing concern among educators and psychologists regarding the individual personality variables that affect scholastic attainment and performance. Anxiety is one of the more frequently discussed (and written about) variables affecting intellectual attainment through individual personality structure. An aquatic environment involves many complex relationships biologically, physically, and chemically. Many of these relationships are difficult to measure or are little understood. In nature, aquatic environments accommodate many types of aquatic life. Ecological disturbances may cause the environment to become unfit for economically important forms of life. Human interferences often causes polluted waters and naturally occurring disturbances are common. A disturbance of this kind is one of the major problems of fisheries management in the northern Great Plains area – seasonal anaerobosis of fish or other aquatic animals and plants, commonly known as winter kill. The biography of James A. Harding is selected for two reasons. First, through biographical writing one can see in the life of a modern Christian the faith that was possessed by Paul whose faith was in Christ Jesus. Second, tribute is paid to a man whose contributions have greatly affected the New Testament church. Harding's contribution to Christian education, his philosophy of Christian living, and his views on doctrinal subjects are seen today in Christian institutions of higher learning and in the lives of individual followers of Christ.

The object of this study is to elucidate the facts observed in the experimental trails of emailing alfalfa in terms of microbiological populations and some biochemical analyses. The problems in the study is involved with the production of a good quality silage are evident when individual alfalfa samples, apparently alike in all respects, do not produce uniform products. The necessity of understanding the basic mechanism of the silage fermentation process, in order that a better quality silage may be produced with some degree of consistency, is obvious.
