Handwritten bylaws of the Order of the Eastern Star, Eunice Chapter No. 46. The 7 page document lists the titles and duties of each officer of the chapter as well as the fee structure for membership. These bylaws were written and submitted by the Committee on Bylaws: Mrs. Martha Owens, Sister Amanda Thomas, Sister Rosa Johnson, Sister Virginia Sims and Sister Stella Martin (Chair).

Record of the 49th Annual Session of the Imperial Council of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. The report was created by the Imperial Potentate, Dr. Raymond E. Jackson on November 8, 1950. The first paragraph of the report mentions a "smear campaign" and in fighting between members of the organization. The report also highlights the groups charitable contributions to tuberculosis and cancer research organizations.

42-page transcription of "A Journal of the Campaign of a Detachment of Volunteers to the Lower Mississippi under General Jackson in 1812 & 13" by Andrew Jackson Edmondson of Tennessee. Written around 1858, the journal actually includes memories through 1815. Edmondson volunteered in Nashville in December 1812 and served until April 1813, and again from October 1813 until January 1814, and finally from September 1814 to May 1815, according to a copy of an 1850 declaration of his service to a Mississippi Justice of the Peace. A copy of the first page of the journal can also be viewed.

Adolphus Wiley Montague Memoir, 1912

Copy of an 18-page memoir of Adolphus Wiley Montague (1835-1917) of Ripley, Tennessee, who served in the 7th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment during the Civil War. The memoir was dictated to his niece Lizzie in 1912. Also included is a copy of Montague's pension application from 1906 and an introductory note by James E. Montague. The date of Adolphus' death given by James Montague was taken from the gravestone which is inaccurate.

Program of George White presents "George White Scandals of 1937", The 12th Stage Edition at the Orpheum Theatre, Memphis, Tennessee, on November 25-26, 1936. The program states "Stars! Stars! A million dollars' worth! Song Hits! New! Peppy! You'll hum 'em! Hilarity! Glorious! Uproarious! Only 2 Days." The “new” Orpheum Theatre was built in 1928 as a vaudeville theater after fire destroyed the original building. The lavish “New Orpheum,” as it was often called, featured brocade draperies, crystal chandeliers, gilded moldings, and a Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
