Currently, videos generally cannot be zoomed in or panned across. Videos capture motion but not detail; still images do not capture motion, but can be very detailed. The techniques described herein unite the motion-capturing features of videos with the detail-capturing features of still images to enable a user to zoom in, pan across, listen to narrations, and generally interact with frames in a video. In this manner, videos are provided that are interactive and engaging.

Dynamic entropy ranges are runtime operational state pre-use cached results of entropy calculations based on an actual state of links. The techniques presented herein provide efficient, scalable, and comprehensive industrial asset inventory and vulnerability detection in operation technology (OT) networks. The techniques achieve this by adaptively and dynamically chaining traffic-monitoring methods through an OT network. Additionally, the techniques automatically and efficiently deploy sensors in an OT network to support the traffic-monitoring chaining and efficiently utilize resources in the OT network. These techniques may resolve vulnerability detection issues and inventory tracking and classification issues that are commonly encountered in OT networks, which that often utilize network elements without traffic sensing features.

Complex multistage recommender systems that utilize multiple stages of ranking models and non-model parameters at different stages are used to identify a set of items as output, e.g., advertisements to be delivered by an advertising network. This disclosure describes a framework to optimize the non-model parameters to improve recall, defined based on items delivered as output in comparison to groundtruth items. The optimization can be performed offline, using a simulation that takes as input candidate items and labels of items that are known positives. The optimization can improve the quality of recommendations and can reduce computational cost.

The techniques presented herein provide Routing Protocol for Low power and Lossy Networks (RPL) that enhances the incorporation of RPL Unaware Leaves (RULs) into a network while also improving the flexibility of the network deployment. Specifically, the techniques presented herein create one or more proxies for RULs that can reduce the number of messages a RUL needs to receive. Thus, a RUL can wake less and preserve its battery.
