Fan With Various Blade Thickness, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
In recent years, laptop fan blade density is increased continually to provide higher
pressure capability which could be used to overcome high system impedance inside a
slim laptop system. This dense design pushes the acoustic energy emission toward to
high frequency range. Typically, a laptop fan is designed with uniform blade thickness
and uniform blade-to-blade interval distance, which generates period flow pattern
when fan is operating. This periodic flow filed characters and high frequency acoustic
energy emission leads to annoying high pitch noise and impact customers’ experience.

Prevent System Abnormal Wake Up On Sleep State, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
Nowadays, all notebooks have the function of sleep, and the wake-up system via wireless USB
mouse is one of the ways. However, we sometimes forget to turn off the mouse and put the
notebook with sleep state into the backpack. When we accidentally touch the mouse, the notebook
will wake up, which will consume the battery life, even run out of power, and the backpack will
overheat. Our invention uses pressure sensors detection to prevent system abnormal wake up on
sleep state.

One of the parameters of the IDS very valuable for our customers is having autonomy when
the supply gets empty. On this search of the optimal solution, an intermediate tank is usually
used, due to its cost. Another way of increasing the autonomy of the system when having an
out of ink event is having another IDS (having then two supplies) so you can consume ink from
the other one when having an out of ink event. However, this architecture is much more
expensive.

Dynamic systems and processes can be controlled to drive them to a desired state (e.g., optimal). Control can be done with anything ranging from a simple model to a complex algorithm, depending on the dynamic system. In real world problems we can collect real data and use machine learning (ML) approaches to develop these control systems. A common ML approach used for these problems is reinforcement learning. In this paper we present a simplified method for problems that have three characteristics: a relatively low number of actions; we can predict the output state given an action; and for each state …
