Defensive Publications Series
Photo storage and viewing applications enable users to query their photos and view matching results. However, such applications do not currently provide text summaries based on photos and cannot answer semantic queries. This disclosure describes the use of machine learning techniques to leverage a user’s photo library to answer semantic queries. With user permission, an image-text decoder is utilized to generate and store a text summary of individual photos in the user’s photo library. When a user query is received, matching text summaries are identified and used to prompt a large language model that generates an answer to the query. …

Recreating Photos From Text Descriptions Using Generative Artificial Intelligence, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
When on trips, users often take near duplicate photos at the same place. Multiple photos with little variation among them can consume a large amount of the limited storage space on the user device and/or cloud storage services where users may choose to store their photos. Retaining only a few of the photos can reduce storage use but makes the photos permanently unavailable. This disclosure describes techniques that enable users to recreate close approximations of discarded photos from corresponding text descriptions. A suitable image-to-text conversion model is applied to photos prior to discarding the photos and the generated text description …

A network data analytics system visualized as a temporal graph (network state as a function of time)in which unbounded streams of data are processed and stored can result in the data size becoming extra-ordinarily large and unmanageable. Thus, efficient partitioning schemes are often needed to partition the data. In some instances, data in a temporal graph system can be partitioned either temporally or spatially. This proposal provides techniques to facilitate partitioning (both temporally and spatially)and persistence of data based on the application intent.

Techniques are presented herein that support examining the channel state information (CSI) matrix that arises from a channel sounding and using the results of that examination to train a machine learning (ML)-based model that considers all of the available wireless parameters at each given measurement. Under the presented techniques, after sufficient training has been completed a CSI matrix may be predicted over short intervals (using, for example, a long short-term memory (LSTM) network) thus allowing a Wi-Fi access point (AP) to reduce the sounding frequency and, as a result, improve overall wireless performance.

A general trend among Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices is the bifurcation between 2 forms of walk-up user interfaces. The vast majority would be highly simplified (with indicator lights and buttons), while premium devices provide for increasingly large touchscreen controls. The choice of the majority is possible due to the ability of mobile computing devices such as Smartphones, to host apps that serve as a full-featured user interface, not just for 1 device, but for an entire device family. This enables significant cost savings at the device portfolio level, while enhancing usability.

Applications operating via network communications have long evolved from the use of basic data, as audio and video applications continue to evolve in terms of latency requirements and, as such, the number of differentiated flows (per application) continues to evolve as well. With applications evolving that are utilize low latency packet paths from network, it can be challenging to determine the latency of packets in a network that are associated with latency sensitive applications. This proposal provides techniques through which a new header can be embedded into packets in which the new header can be used to indicate the total-residence-time …

Using Remote Logging During Zero Touch Provisioning Of A Network Element Over Ipv6, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure relates to Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) of a network element over IPv6. ZTP is a method for a network element (NE) to fetch provisioning and configure itself when it boots up very first time.
