Methods And Systems For Cooling Cryogenic Fluid Stored In A Reservoir, Claus Rarup Lund Apr 2025

Methods And Systems For Cooling Cryogenic Fluid Stored In A Reservoir, Claus Rarup Lund

Defensive Publications Series

On a shipping vessel, where methane is used as fuel, the fuel is stored as liquid at cooled condition due to the properties of methane. The tank storing the fuel (methane) must be isolated to ensure that methane stays as a liquid. A general challenge with such tanks is that they cannot carry high pressures and due to heat transfer from surroundings to the tank, the methane temperature will begin to rise and boil off, which in terms will increase the pressure in the tank. The gas from this process is called “boil off gas” or just BOG.

Adaptive Ejection Of Printed Media, Hp Inc Apr 2025

Adaptive Ejection Of Printed Media, Hp Inc

Defensive Publications Series

Fast Ejections speeds are crucial for good printing speeds. However, cost pressures and sustainability considerations at the lowest price points are impacting device design, even to shrinking size of media output trays. To maintain output capacity, we traditionally limit ejection speeds, which hurt print performance. With this disclosed ability to modify feed speeds within feed moves, we propose to precisely eject printed media at just the right speed; while at all other times, moving as fast as practical. This rebalances the tradeoff between print speed and tray capacity for more favorable product attributes, down to the opening price point.

Sensitivity Compensation Of Ultrasonic Transducers In Downhole Electronics, Baker Hughes Company Apr 2025

Sensitivity Compensation Of Ultrasonic Transducers In Downhole Electronics, Baker Hughes Company

Defensive Publications Series

Ultrasonic Transducers of various manufacturers and different types have significant different sensitivity to ultrasonic signals. The difference in sensitivity can lead to over saturation of the signal chain, which introduces measurement inaccuracy.

To adopt the different sensors to the signal chain, also in addition to a variable gain amplifier, the excitation energy and frequency can be dynamically adjusted to the target sensor (i.e. ultrasonic transducer, but not limited to ultrasonic transducers) and measurement environment. An additional solution is to dampen the signal dynamically while maintaining the full excitation pulse energy.

This novel method enables using different sensor types without a …
