Sequential Consensus Building For Multi-Agent Debates, Andrea Morandi Oct 2025

Sequential Consensus Building For Multi-Agent Debates, Andrea Morandi

Defensive Publications Series

Conventional approaches to consensus building in multi-agent systems typically rely on fixed numbers of debate rounds or predetermined thresholds, which can be inefficient and inflexible. Moreover, these conventional approaches often fail to account for the dynamic nature of debates and waste computational resources by continuing debates that have already reached sufficient consensus or by prematurely terminating debates. To address these challenges, the techniques presented herein leverage sequential analysis to efficiently and dynamically determine consensus in multi-agent systems.

Energy Harvesting In High-Speed Interconnects, Joel Richard Goergen, Shadi Ebrahimi Asl Oct 2025

Energy Harvesting In High-Speed Interconnects, Joel Richard Goergen, Shadi Ebrahimi Asl

Defensive Publications Series

This submission proposes techniques to harvest energy in high-speed interconnects. To facilitate such energy harvesting, a via-trace-via loop can be placed in close vicinity of high-speed vias at the edge of a ball grid array (BGA) field of a printed circuit board (PCB) or close to an isolated differential pair via (e.g., transition vias) to harvest the energy in the rapidly changing electromagnetic (EM) fields using principles of Faraday's law. The harvested energy can be cascaded and boosted and can later be referenced to a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal to create a power rail at the PCB level.

Neurolink-X: Restoring Brain–Body Communication Via An Implantable Neural Interface, George Karelias, George Karelias

Defensive Publications Series

Spinal cord injuries, stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases can disrupt motor pathways, causing severe loss of mobility and independence. NeuroLink-X proposes an implantable brain–body neural interface that restores connectivity by decoding cortical activity, bypassing damaged pathways, and delivering stimulation to muscles or spinal neurons. Unlike external prosthetics, NeuroLink-X is designed as a fully implantable, adaptive, closed-loop system that leverages AI-driven decoders and functional electrical stimulation to re-establish voluntary motor control. This article outlines the system’s architecture, methodology, and potential applications, supported by current advances in brain–computer interfaces and neuroprosthetics.

Large Language Model Embedding Graph For Content Recommendation And Discovery, Tamojit Chatterjee, Shravan Nayak Sep 2025

Large Language Model Embedding Graph For Content Recommendation And Discovery, Tamojit Chatterjee, Shravan Nayak

Defensive Publications Series

Existing content recommendation algorithms often do not effectively use structured information to make more informed decisions. This can limit the ability to discover similar content or to introduce sufficient diversity into recommendations. In addition, or in the alternative, current techniques for enhancing content recommendations may lack personalization, diversity, and transparency. These existing techniques may also present static sets of content items (e.g., content clusters) that may not adapt to real-time events. Also, content cluster labels may not clearly describe the underlying theme of the content items in the content cluster.

This disclosure describes technology for generating content recommendations using a …

Task Bundles For Context Persistence In Asynchronous Multi-Agent Collaboration, Victor Cărbune Sep 2025

Task Bundles For Context Persistence In Asynchronous Multi-Agent Collaboration, Victor Cărbune

Defensive Publications Series

In certain multi-agent systems, a loss of reasoning context may occur when tasks are passed between agents, potentially making it difficult for subsequent agents to inquire about or build upon prior work. The described method introduces a task bundle that can be used to serialize a task's state and encode intermediate solutions with unique tags corresponding to a thought process and an originating agent. Sourcing agents may maintain a more detailed local memory of their reasoning linked by these tags, which can form an asynchronous communication mechanism. Using this mechanism, a receiving agent can use a tag to query the …

Parametric Head-Related Transfer Function Using Structural Components And Spherical Harmonics, Nikhil Bhanu, Mengfan Zhang Sep 2025

Parametric Head-Related Transfer Function Using Structural Components And Spherical Harmonics, Nikhil Bhanu, Mengfan Zhang

Defensive Publications Series

The head-related transfer function (HRTF) describes the acoustic transmission of sound waves from a sound source to a listener’s binaural ears. When applied to headphones, VR headsets, and similar devices, the use of non-personalized HRTFs may lead to perception errors such as inside-the-head localization, front-back confusion, and/or a breakdown of elevation discrimination ability. This disclosure describes techniques to personalize HRTFs for spatial audio products. A compact, spatial-domain HRTF representation is constructed that achieves a realistic spatial listening experience by structurally modeling person-specific acoustic components such as head shadowing, torso reflection, and pinna (outer ear) filtering. The HRTF is decomposed into …

Ai-Driven Special Effects Generation And Application Framework For Visual Content, Colvin Pitts Sep 2025

Ai-Driven Special Effects Generation And Application Framework For Visual Content, Colvin Pitts

Defensive Publications Series

A user’s creative intent for image or video editing expressed in natural language, e.g., ‘make the greenery look really vibrant,’ cannot currently be directly translated into the series of discrete, technical operations required by editing libraries. This situation exists because software libraries and application programming interfaces (APIs) are not optimized for an environment where artificial intelligence (in turn tasked by end-users) is the primary customer. This disclosure describes techniques of application programming interface (API) and software library design that can bridge the gap between the abstract requests of AI and the rigid, explicit nature of libraries, making software development more …

Providing Spoiler-Free Entity Information For Narrative Media Based On Viewing Progress, Alejandra Molina, Vivian Tsai, Ellen Jiang

Defensive Publications Series

When reading or viewing long-form narrative media such as books, audio content, or television shows, or engaging in games with long gameplay durations, users may sometimes forget a particular detail about a character or entity in the content. While online resources as well as built-in features in the viewing application can help aid user recall, such resources are static and do not account for the user’s current progress, thus risking spoilers. This disclosure describes techniques that enable users to obtain entity information for narrative media in a spoiler-free manner. Per the techniques, a structured database of various entities in narrative …

Secure Enclave-Based Techniques To Render Stolen Devices Unusable, Max Bires, Siddarth Pandit Sep 2025

Secure Enclave-Based Techniques To Render Stolen Devices Unusable, Max Bires, Siddarth Pandit

Defensive Publications Series

Many smartphones and other devices implement a secure hardware enclave for device security. The secure enclave can provide a high-level of security. However, when a device is stolen and jailbroken to install a new operating system, the secure enclave has no ability to detect that the device is in a stolen state, and cannot limit device use. This disclosure describes techniques to secure devices against post-theft usage such that even attackers that attempt a jailbreak or bypass bootloader integrity checks are unable to configure such a device for use. Per the techniques, periodic secure communication between the secure enclave and …

Wifi-Based Emergency Communication Support, Chinmay Dhodapkar, Kaushik Ghosh, Sharath Ananth, Shailesh Maheshwari

Defensive Publications Series

While satellite communication enables smartphone users to reach emergency services even from areas without cellular connectivity, such options can fail when satellites are not visible (e.g., underground usage). Additionally, devices that have WiFi connectivity, but no cellular modems are unable to use satellite communication for emergency purposes. This disclosure describes techniques that enable emergency communications for users that have WiFi connectivity, but no access to cellular or satellite communication via their smartphone or any other device. The techniques leverage existing infrastructure supported by the device manufacturer (and/or other providers) to enable users to reach emergency service providers over satellite networks. …
